Tuesday's episode of The Young and the Restless saw Sally arriving at the GCAC, and immediately spotting Adam alone at the bar. She wanted to be upfront about what Billy and Phyllis did. Sally played no role in stealing the Newman empire away from his family. Adam looked defeated and told her that her side won.

Adam didn't feel sorry for what Billy and Sally were going through because he thought she was too good for him. Sally explained that she had no part in obtaining control of Newman Media. The entire procurement of Adam's company was entirely Billy's idea. The Young and the Restless has centered around Adam and Billy's feud for many years, and it shows no signs of stopping.

Adam didn't know that Billy had done that, so Sally's confession took him by surprise. She was taken aback that he didn't know yet. Sally assumed Adam would have known that Newman Media had been transferred to her. Adam remarked that Sally now had one less competitor standing in the way of her success.

Sally apologized for everything Adam was experiencing. She knew more than anyone how much Newman Media meant to him. Adam wasn't too concerned because he was convinced that Victor would find a way to separate Phyllis and Billy from their power.

Adam assumed that Billy screwed her over, but she denied that it was the case. Despite what Sally thought, Adam felt like there was a chance that Billy would swoop in and steal her company from her. Sally reminded Adam that Victor was no saint, and he had done the same many times before.

Adam was the last person that Sally wanted to hear relationship advice from. He cheated on her and broke her heart, so he didn't get a say. Adam warned her that his family would go after anyone who stood in the way of getting Newman back. The Newmans rarely lose on The Young and the Restless, so everyone was put on notice.

Billy thought back to his fight with Sally from the night before. He didn't feel supported by Sally in the same way that he did with her. However, Nick let himself into Billy's house without knocking first. Nick declared that the rules went out the window when Billy targeted his family.

Billy asked Nick how he was feeling, since his leg injury was clearly still bothering him. Billy wasn't phased by Nick's tough guy act. He felt like Victor's fall from the top of the corporate food chain was long overdue.

Nick asked Billy why Sally and Abbott Communications weren't enough for him. Billy flipped the script and asked why it was fine for Victor to crush everyone, but nobody could return the favor. This felt good for Billy. He finally bested The Mustache, something many on The Young and the Restless had tried but failed to accomplish.

Chancellor did belong to Billy. He was in charge before Jill sold the company out from underneath him to Victor as a gift to Nikki. This was personal to Billy. Nick laughed because he was certain Billy would mess up down the road and become his own worst enemy. History has proven that to be true.

Nick told Billy he'd come to regret what he'd done. As Nick was leaving, Sally came into the house, and Nick said, "You are wasting your life with this punk. Cut him loose before he drags you down with him."

Billy tried to sweep the previous night under the rug. Unfortunately for him, Sally informed him that there was no moving forward. She was only at their place to collect her belongings because she was tired of Billy's lies. Sally couldn't co-sign Billy's thirst for power anymore.

The biggest gut punch of the argument was Sally believing that she disappears when he becomes blinded by power. Not mincing words, Sally told Billy, "It's over. We're done." Billy begged for a chance to work through their issues. Love wasn't enough for Sally to stay in a relationship where she felt secondary. For her, Billy was enough, and she was sorry that she wasn't that for him.

Things on The Young and the Restless continued at Crimson Lights, where Chelsea was surprised to see Sharon back so soon after the situation with Mariah. Sharon admitted it had been an emotional time, and she was adamant that Mariah never hurt Dominic.

Chelsea questioned what Mariah was thinking because there was no other way that this would end. She realized how that sounded, so she apologized for going too far. Sharon understood that most people couldn't comprehend the idea of someone completely losing their mind. Now, all anyone could see was Mariah as a monster.

Sharon said that she didn't mean to go on a rant, but Chelsea understood where she was coming from. However, Chelsea wondered what caused Mariah to snap. The answer was simple. Ian Ward's return to Genoa City sent Mariah into a downward spiral that culminated in Dominic's abduction.

Sharon acknowledged that Nick had been a great help, but he had his own issues to deal with. Chelsea knew that all too well. Adam was consumed by the desire to return Newman Enterprises and all of its subsidiaries to his family.

Chelsea did her best to hide it from Adam, but she didn't think things would ever revert to normal. She asked how Nick was dealing with things, but he hadn't let her in too much. Victor was taking it the worst out of everyone. This had become a never-ending nightmare that Victor couldn't wake up from.

Outside of Crimson Lights, Nick struggled to walk. The pain from his leg injury had become unbearable. Inside, they both expressed shock that Phyllis turned her back on Nick. Chelsea thought that she deserved to lose everything and everyone.

Nick hobbled into the shop and requested a glass of water. His pain level was evident. He chalked it up to frustration at not being able to track down Phyllis to give her a piece of his mind. With Sharon’s back turned, Nick took another look at the fentanyl in his pocket.

Elsewhere on The Young and the Restless, Cane stormed into the ranch to confront Victor. However, Victor already knew that Billy and Phyllis screwed him over. Nikki twisted the knife and asked Cane how it felt. Cane said that it didn't feel good. Victor knew that Phyllis was behind the chloroform attack, but Cane was stunned by Billy.

Cane was tired of the lecture, and he demanded that Victor release his family. Lily and the twins didn't deserve to be collateral damage, and Cane posed no threat to the Newmans anymore. Victor had other plans. He scolded Cane for daring to steal his company in the first place, and he insisted that the only way for Lily and the kids to be freed was for Cane to do the right thing.

Cane pleaded with Nikki to be the voice of reason, but she stayed silent as he begged Victor to release his family. After he left, Nikki wondered if they should give up on their plan. Victor didn't want to quit just yet, when there was still a chance that Cane could find a way to transfer Newman back to him.

After his run-in with Sally, Adam popped into the ranch with information. He informed them that Billy had handed over Newman Media to Sally and had procured Chancellor for himself. Nikki was saddened by the news that she was no longer piloting Katherine's legacy.
