On the Monday, February 23rd episode of The Young and the Restless, Audra and Kyle offended Noah, Sally rejected Chelsea’s attempt to join forces, and Nick objected to Victoria’s plan.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Audra recalled that Noah’s London club had been one of the hottest spots in town. Audra fondly remembered that he’d had a penchant for losing umbrellas every time it rained. Noah reasoned that there was no point to them once the sun was out. He saw that she was drinking Champagne, and he wondered if she was celebrating alone. Audra chalked it up to just liking Champagne, but Noah recounted that she’d only consumed ice-cold vodka in London. She conceded that she was celebrating finding her dream job – co-running a company with her best friend.
Noah toasted to Audra’s good fortune, but she was superstitious after all the times she’d raised a glass to a new beginning, only to have someone take advantage of her talent and hard work. She added that the only toast she could believe in was one she made to herself. “To me,” she proclaimed, vowing to never rely on anyone else to deliver on her dreams. Noah was glad her friend saw her potential.
Audra gushed about how she and her friend were a real team. Audra marveled that she’d had no hope the day before, but that day she was co-CEO of Spectra-Charles Media. Noah was taken aback that Sally was Audra’s best friend. Audra revealed that Sally had just rebranded her company. Noah barked that Billy had stolen Newman Media, so Audra’s fresh start was built on the back of an illegally obtained company. Kyle watched the exchange with interest.
Kyle confirmed that Audra had no problem playing dirty, and he and Noah exchanged pleasantries. Kyle prompted Audra to explain how she was okay with breaking the law to get what she wanted. Audra defended that she’d had nothing to do with what had happened to Newman Media. Kyle was confused, and Noah informed Kyle that Audra was co-CEO of Spectra-Charles Media, which was built from the ashes of Noah’s family’s media business.
Audra scoffed at shedding a tear for Victor or Adam, and Kyle echoed the sentiment. Noah was stunned that they had no problem with his family being destroyed. Kyle pointed out that Victor had threatened or hurt half the town, but Noah argued that Victor hadn’t been the only one affected. Kyle had no sympathy for Adam, who’d followed in his father’s footsteps. Kyle saw nothing wrong with Victor and Adam getting a taste of what they’d dished out.
Noah acknowledged that Victor had stepped on some toes, but Billy and Phyllis had crossed a line, and Audra and Sally were complicit. Audra quipped that the only crime was that it had taken so long for karma to kick in. Kyle envisioned that there might be a parade to celebrate Victor and Adam getting what they deserved. Noah growled that Victor hadn’t deserved to lose everything he’d worked his entire life to build.
Noah reminded Kyle that Harrison and Summer were also part of the Newman family. Kyle stressed that his son was an Abbott. Noah ranted that a family had been gutted by losing its legacy. Kyle imagined Nikki could sell some jewelry, and the Newmans would be fine. A disgusted Noah walked away. Audra giggled over Kyle’s jewelry comment and noted that it was almost like they were on the same side.

At Crimson Lights, Sally spoke to someone over the phone about promoting the rebranding of her company. She hung up as Chelsea entered, and they awkwardly greeted one another. Sally claimed she had to get to work, and Chelsea testily surmised that helming two media companies didn’t leave Sally with free time, which was all Chelsea had after being screwed out of a job. Chelsea snapped that Billy had committed a criminal act, and she wondered if Sally was trying to convince herself that what he’d done was okay.
Sally revealed that the two companies had been merged into Spectra-Charles Media. She asserted that she was focused on running her company, and she was contractually obligated to honor the directives her investor and Billy had given her. Sally sincerely apologized that Chelsea was collateral damage, and she swore that she’d had nothing to do with Billy making a play and getting what he wanted. Chelsea realized that Sally hadn’t known about Billy’s plan, and she guessed that Sally wasn’t happy with what he’d done.
Chelsea admitted that Adam’s hatred toward Billy could cloud his judgment. Chelsea regretted that the cheating incident had made things worse, but Sally flatly stated that she’d moved on. Chelsea recognized that Billy was plagued by demons and desperate to prove something. She claimed that she was worried about him because he’d put a target on his back, and the Newmans would show him no mercy. Chelsea proposed that she and Sally work together to save Billy from himself.
Sally blurted out that she’d broken things off with Billy after they’d spent months dreaming about building a company together, but he’d wanted something else. Chelsea guessed that Sally had asked him to choose between her and Chancellor. Chelsea anticipated that Billy’s obsessions would continue to pull him under unless she and Sally did something to help. Chelsea thought Sally clearly disapproved of how he’d taken over the companies, and she urged her to get him to do the right thing.
Chelsea lectured that by keeping Newman Media, Sally was taking advantage of a criminal move and condoning what Billy had done. Sally found it hypocritical that Chelsea was preaching about ethics when Newman Media had used clickbait and unnamed sources as their standard. Chelsea blasted her for leaving Billy but being willing to run a company she’d gotten as part of a dirty deal. Sally incredulously asked if Chelsea expected her to hand the company back to Chelsea and the Newmans.
Chelsea claimed she was thinking of Billy’s safety. Sally recalled that Chelsea had been a con back in the day, and she surmised Chelsea was feigning sympathy and concern to get Sally to drop Newman Media back in her lap. Sally wondered where Chelsea’s concern for Billy had been when she’d cheated on him. Chelsea begged Sally to do what was right, or terrible things might happen. Sally called Chelsea out on acting exactly like a Newman, noting that it seemed like Chelsea had ended up where she belonged. Sally stalked off.

At the new Newman ranch, Victoria wished she and Nick had heard from their dad. Nick slurred that he was sure Victor was hot on Phyllis’s trail, and Victoria asked if her brother was okay. Nick admitted that he was worried, and Victoria shared that she’d barely slept. Victoria confided that she intended to go to Milan to use Summer’s unhappiness to try to get to Phyllis. Nick simply replied that Victoria had a lot to work with. Victoria was shocked that that was all Nick had to say.
Nick said he had taken a pain pill and was feeling relaxed. Victoria insisted that her plan was the only way to get through to Phyllis, but Nick was opposed to blowing up the bond between mother and daughter. Victoria suggested that Summer and Daniel only pretend to cut Phyllis out of their lives, and once Phyllis gave back the company, they could welcome their mother back with open arms. Nick remained hesitant, and Victoria invited him to join her in Milan.
Nick preferred to wait to see what Victor already had in the works. Victoria refused to do nothing when their family had lost everything, and she was afraid it might kill their father if Phyllis won. Victoria predicted that nothing would devastate Phyllis more than having her own children turn on her and side with the people she’d wronged. Nick clarified that Phyllis didn’t see it as something wrong but as justice against Victor.
Nick agreed that Phyllis had to be stopped, but he was adamant about not dragging Summer into it. Victoria cited the many times Nick had been there for Phyllis, yet Phyllis was watching him and his family burn. Nick vowed to fight with whatever he had, but he wouldn’t cross a line that would hurt his kids. Victoria huffed that she was going to Milan whether he liked it or not.
Nick contemplated how he could talk Victoria out of it. Victoria contended that Summer was a grown woman who could decide for herself. Victoria pleaded with Nick to back her, and he promised that he’d always support her. Victoria was surprised he didn’t want to knock someone’s block off, but he confided that his leg hadn’t been doing great. She questioned whether he was getting the right dose of medication, since he didn’t seem like himself.

Nick insisted that he was healing, but he was just tired. Victoria urged him to see a doctor, but he said all that mattered was stopping Phyllis. Victoria reiterated that the only thing Phyllis cared about was her kids, and the threat of losing her daughter’s love might be the only thing that could stop her. Victoria planned to leave in a couple of hours, but Nick requested that she give him a night to think about it.
Nick hoped to find another solution that would keep Summer out of the line of fire. Victoria agreed to wait until the next day, hoping he’d change his mind and go with her. Nick vaguely stated that he had reasons to stay in Genoa City.
