What happened on The Young and the Restless

Victoria ran into Nate at Crimson Lights, where he encouraged her to take a seat and open up to him. She didn't know where to begin. Victoria told him that everything was gone. Nate realized that the rumors were true, and the Newmans lost control of their empire.
Victoria believed that her confrontation with Phyllis was set to turn physical if Cane hadn't stepped in. There was no legal recourse for their ongoing crisis, as pursuing the court system could take years. However, she thought that Victor had a plan to save the company.
Victoria was furious that her father shut her out of the plan to save Newman, so she planned to come up with an idea of her own. Nate loved seeing this side of Victoria. A focused Victoria was one of her best versions. She joked that some people at the Newman offices called her Victor Jr. when they thought she couldn't hear them.

Audra and Sally met for drinks at Society, and Sally ranted about how Billy's obsession with Chancellor had completely overtaken him. She tried to talk him out of accepting Cane's offer, but to no avail. Audra complimented Sally for how she had handled Billy's chaotic impulses.
Sadly, Sally expressed how much Billy's actions broke her heart. She needed to focus on Abbott Communications since that was the one thing she could control. Audra remarked how quickly things had changed, and she couldn't believe that Victor was finally brought to his knees.
Sally believed that her new company wasn't in any danger, even with Billy's recent detour. Sally opened up to Audra about Jill's condition, and Audra asked how Billy handled the news. Sally hoped that telling Billy about Jill's health crisis might encourage him to give up his quest for Chancellor and focus on his mother.
With Jill incapacitated and Billy otherwise occupied, Sally planned to bring Audra on board as her new number two. She'd just deal with the repercussions at a later date. Audra was worried that Jill could withdraw her funding once she learned that Audra was on board.
Sally convinced Audra to accept her terms, so Audra's position began immediately. Audra thanked Sally for the opportunity, and despite her brave persona, she'd gone through quite a bit of upheaval. The celebration came to an abrupt end as Nate and Victoria walked into Society together.
Audra was convinced that Nate and Victoria were well on their way to reuniting as a couple. Sally asked Audra to consider that they were indeed just friends, but Audra was certain that there was more going on.
Nate decided to address the elephant in the room and approach Audra and Sally. Victoria accused Sally of fishing for information for her media company, but she promised that wasn't what she was doing. Victoria claimed that Billy said he'd spin negative stories about Newman, but Sally revealed that Billy was no longer a part of their media company.
Victoria realized that her ex-husband would be assuming control of Chancellor. She and Sally both knew how Billy could be, so none of this was a total surprise to either woman.

Panic set in for Abby and Devon. They searched the entire Chancellor grounds, and Dominic was nowhere to be found. Abby called out to her son, begging him to show himself. Devon was convinced that nothing was wrong and that this was just a case of hide-and-seek that went too far.
Abby disagreed. It had been over 30 minutes since they had seen him, so they agreed to search everywhere again, but this time they'd let Dominic know that they were worried. Abby asked Devon to admit that this wasn't normal, and they needed to take their son's disappearance seriously.
After another search of the grounds, Abby wanted to stop wasting time. They needed to call the police. Abby remembered the scarf Devon found outside and wondered if it belonged to someone who might have taken Dominic. After the nanny confirmed it wasn't her scarf, Abby believed someone was watching them and waited a moment before swiping their son.
The police arrived and questioned Abby and Devon about everything they knew so far. Abby broke down, worried, and prayed to Chance, whom she considered Dominic's guardian angel. Devon tried to comfort Abby and tell her that everything would turn out okay.

Mariah arrived at the motel room with Dominic. She had cookies for him that she somehow procured from Crimson Lights. While Dominic was in the bathroom washing his hands, Mariah thought back to shortly after she had given birth to him. Dominic was the only thing that kept her sane while Stitch held her captive.
Ian appeared behind Mariah and praised her for following through with their plan. He declared that she finally had a family again. Ian warned Mariah about the danger of feeling guilty. He promised he cared deeply for her, but she needed to stop worrying about Abby and Devon's feelings.
Mariah was convinced that the hardest part of this was far from over. The most difficult part of abducting Dominic would be lying to him about what happened to his parents. He'd eventually request to be reunited with them, but that wasn't possible. Ian believed that Mariah could deal with that when the time came. It wasn't a pressing matter.
Ian knew that Mariah needed to leave the motel as soon as possible to avoid being caught. Mariah wasn't worried about the plan anymore. She was concerned with how Dominic would handle being permanently separated from Abby and Devon. Mariah asked Ian how he knew how a child would handle this. He said that every child was, on some level, afraid of being abandoned.
Ian urged Mariah to make Dominic believe that his parents no longer wanted or loved him. However, she did not find it to be as simple as Ian painted it. Dominic returned to the room after washing his hands. He asked when Abby would join them. Mariah lied to the child, telling him that his parents were running late.
Mariah played hide-and-seek with Dominic to ease his nerves and he told her he was having the best time. The innocent child was entirely unaware of just how sinister all of this secretly was.
