Here is your weekly recap of The Young and the Restless for the episodes that aired July 13 through 17, 2026.
Abbott Elementary

Jack recovered in the hospital with his family by his side. The Abbott siblings reflected on the impact John had on their lives. Abby confided in Jack about how she and Devon were going through a rough patch, and Jack advised her to trust in the long friendship she’d shared with her husband. Traci and Ashley named Lauren an honorary Abbott. Diane was deeply touched when Ashley and Traci sincerely welcomed her home.
Patty was denied bail. Diane remained on edge with Dr. Markham’s whereabouts remaining unknown. Billy and Kyle commiserated over almost losing Jack, and Billy admitted he’d treated Kyle unfairly because he’d felt Jack had stepped aside as a father figure to him when Kyle had been born. Kyle told Billy about his intention to seek revenge on Victor and enlisted Billy’s help, but Billy opted to focus on his growing family with Sally instead.
Kyle angrily confronted Victor and vowed that an Abbott would take him down, but Victor scoffed at Kyle’s threats. Kyle visited Patty in jail and implored her to give him the ammunition to prove Victor had been behind her reign of terror.
Bordering on Reconciliation

Nikki struggled to accept that she might be permanently blind. Victoria and Nick urged their mother to remain optimistic, but Claire supported Nikki’s choice to be prepared for the worst. Nikki visited Jack, who consoled her and advised her to accept Victor’s help. Victor walked out on Nikki and Victoria after learning about the visit, considering it a betrayal. Victoria and Claire celebrated Cole’s life on the anniversary of his death.
Victor caught Nikki trying to navigate her way up the stairs and intervened to guide her. Nikki questioned whether Victor’s hatred for Jack was stronger than his love for her. Nikki tearfully admitted that she didn’t know how to face her blindness without Victor, who wrapped his arms around her as they cried together.
Damage Control

Nikki backed Nick’s desire to go back to work. Adam and Chelsea attempted to convince them to build a new media division from scratch instead of attacking Spectra-Charles, but Victor remained determined to get back his former company division, Newman Media, at any cost. Sally overheard Adam and Chelsea discussing Victor’s plan in the park, but they assured her they wanted no part of a takeover. Sally and Audra proposed that they sell an intact Newman Media back to Victor to avoid the damage a fight between their companies would cause.
Word Around Town

Lily and Nate worried about Devon’s reaction to Cane’s leadership at Chancellor. Holden briefly had second thoughts about joining Chancellor because of Devon’s misgivings about him, but he eventually committed to the job so that Lily wouldn't be let down.
Nick confided his fears about relapsing to Sharon. Noah blew up when he walked in on Matt and Sienna having a mostly civil conversation about their past. Matt blasted Noah for not allowing him to simply exist, and he considered leaving town.
