On the Monday, July 13, 2026 episode of The Young and the Restless, the Abbott siblings reflected on John’s impact on their lives, Jack’s loved ones celebrated his recovery, and Billy pledged to stay out of Kyle’s revenge plot.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

At the hospital, Jack apologized to Diane for nodding off. They took turns urging one another to get some sleep, but she dared him to try to make her go away. Diane pointed out that Patty hadn’t succeeded in tearing them apart, and Jack gushed that their love was even stronger than they’d known.
Jack couldn’t wait to get back home with his family and Diane and start making up for lost time. Diane recalled how she’d thought and dreamed about him when she’d been locked up. Jack promised that Patty would never harm them or anyone else ever again.
Uncle Jack’s Advice

Diane eventually agreed to go home. Abby arrived as Diane headed out. Abby suspected that Jack’s late parents and the late Colleen had been looking out for him. Abby remembered seeing Jack with Patty at Society and hoping for the best. She rambled about not knowing what another person was thinking or feeling and only having half the story. Jack sensed that she was talking about something other than him and Patty.
Abby wished the family had stepped in to save Jack from Patty sooner. He figured that things had ended the way they were supposed to, with Diane home and safe. Jack envisioned starting his life with Diane all over again, and Abby mused that they needed happy endings. Jack encouraged Abby to make him feel valued by opening up to him. She confided that Devon was going through a rough patch.
Jack noted that Abby and Devon had started as friends who talked to one another, and he was confident they’d find that place again. Abby asked if Jack was sure he was okay. He admitted he was tired and hurt all over, but he felt lucky that he’d get to walk out of the hospital and go home to his wife and family.
After Abby left, Jack was tormented by thoughts of Patty telling him he’d never understand real love before she stabbed him. Jack flashed back to giving control of Jabot back to John, and John calling him a wonderful son who’d made him a happy, proud man.
Girls’ Night

At the Abbott mansion, Lauren thanked Ashley and Traci for letting her tag along to visit Jack in the hospital. Traci praised the cleaning crew for eradicating all signs of Patty from the house. Lauren commended Jack for not giving up without a fight. Traci added that family was the most important thing to her brother, and having them and Diane at his side had made all the difference.
Lauren couldn’t imagine what it had been like for Ashley and Traci to face losing a sibling. Traci guessed that Lauren was thinking about Jill. Lauren was jealous that the Abbotts had grown up with their siblings, whereas she’d been a spoiled only child. Ashley remarked that they were all products of the past, and she’d considered her father to be her safe place. Traci flashed back to her dad easing her fears about Brad’s commitment to their marriage.
Ashley reflected on John supporting her when her cancer had returned. Ashley felt like she’d let him down by not leading by his example. Lauren assured Ashley that John had been proud of her. The women decided to have a girls’ night by raiding the wine cellar and kitchen. Ashley suggested they put some salt on the windowsills to banish Patty forever.
Over wine and snacks, Ashley and Traci declared Lauren an honorary Abbott. Ashley proclaimed that it was the perfect way to purge Patty from their lives, and Lauren swore the house would never be tainted by bad vibes or demons. Diane entered the house and expressed relief to be free and alive. Ashley firmly stated that Diane was home.
Abby walked in and said she was glad everyone was home. Diane was touched that they all kept calling it her home and acting as if they meant it. Ashley raved that Diane had almost died saving Jack’s life, so it was “damn right” Diane’s home. Lauren added that she was just an honorary Abbott, but Diane was one in every sense. Overwhelmed with emotion, Diane realized just how scared she’d been. Traci embraced Diane and urged her to let it out.
The women fussed over things they needed to do before Jack got home. Abby suggested they take a group selfie so Jack could see their smiling faces when he woke up. Meanwhile, Jack credited his dad’s strength and his family for getting him through the ordeal. His phone pinged, and he smiled when he saw Abby's selfie.
Avenging Jack

At Abby's eatery, Society, Kyle ran into Billy at the bar and offered to get the next round. Billy assured Kyle that the craziness was over, and Kyle responded that uncle-nephew pep talks weren’t their thing. Billy took responsibility for being a jerk in the past. Kyle couldn’t be sure everyone was safe. Billy sympathized because he had no idea what he would do if Jack weren’t in his life.
Billy asserted that there would be no way to ever replace Jack. Billy doubted that he would ever be able to take the lead in the family, and he predicted that Ashley, Traci, or even Kyle would one day assume the role. Billy thought Kyle had demonstrated that he had Jack in him. Kyle stammered that it wasn’t how their conversations usually went. Billy said that was on him.
Billy acknowledged that John’s death had forced Jack to step into a fatherly role with Billy, who’d felt replaced when Jack had a real son. Billy conceded that he’d been in no position to judge Kyle or give Kyle a hard time. Billy recognized that Jack’s brush with death had been even harder on Kyle than it had on him. Kyle growled that someone had to pay for Jack's almost dying.
Billy cautioned that a certifiable Patty was out of Kyle’s league. Kyle revealed that he was focused on the person who’d goaded and funded Patty – Victor. Billy warned that members of Victor’s family whom Kyle cared about would also be affected. Billy called Victor a big target whom they always seemed to miss. Kyle vowed not to miss that time.
Kyle hesitated to disclose his plan, and Billy assumed Kyle didn’t have one. Kyle resolved to take a few days to recover and then find a foolproof way to take Victor down. Kyle appealed to Billy to tell him what moves had failed in the past, and he invited Billy to join him in his quest for payback.
Billy figured that he would have brainstormed ideas about seeking revenge a few months earlier, but things had changed because of his expanding family. Kyle swore that he wouldn’t ask again, and he promised that he would take care of it.
