Here is your weekly recap of The Young and the Restless for the episodes that aired Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, 2026.
Strange Bedfellows

After a confrontation with Noah, Matt announced that he was leaving town. Sharon worried about the lengths Nick would go to ensure Matt stayed gone. Victor threatened Matt with prison – or worse – if Matt backed out of their deal. Matt reached out to Phyllis to say goodbye, but she refused to let him go. Nick exploded when he saw Phyllis and Matt kissing, and he demanded that Matt leave town forever.
Phyllis apologized for trying to use Matt as a pawn and tried to convince him to stay. Phyllis turned down Matt’s suggestion that she go with him. The two began to make love, but Nick's pounding on the door interrupted them. Matt ended up spending the night on Phyllis’ couch. Phyllis offered Matt a job at Arabesque.
A shaky Nick resisted responding to his former dealer’s text messages. Nick blasted Phyllis for being gullible, but she continued to defend Matt. Nick admitted to Sharon that he was overwhelmed with thoughts of taking a pill and might need to go to rehab.
Blind Faith

Nikki rejected Victor’s efforts to help her get around the ranch, insisting that she didn’t want his pity. Nikki confided that she still loved Victor and always would. As Nikki prepared for her bandages to be removed, her doctor allowed only one family member to be in the room with her. Nikki requested that Victor be by her side. Nikki and her family were devastated when she could see nothing.
Corporate Secrets

Adam warned Sally that Victor would never consider her proposal to sell back Newman Media to him, and he offered to secretly buy the company himself. Sally didn’t want to be indebted to Adam, but he swore that he would always owe her because of Ava. Audra initially objected to the deal but eventually supported Sally’s decision to take it. Chelsea was hurt that Adam hadn’t consulted her, but she ultimately agreed to go along with his plan.
Billy returned from London unexpectedly early after an argument with Jill. Billy was upset that Jill preferred to have Cane running Chancellor, and he was convinced that his mother didn’t want him at the company because she was hiding something. Sally kept mum about selling Newman Media to Adam.
Devon lashed out at Cane, who cautioned Devon against pushing away his loved ones. Ashley later urged Devon to open up to Abby, but he insisted he was fine. Billy shared his suspicions with Cane about Jill hiding something within Chancellor. Billy hesitated to give Billy an employment contract, but Billy was fixated on uncovering the secret.
Takes a Psycho to Find a Psycho

Jack was released from the hospital. Diane remained unnerved that Dr. Markham hadn’t been found. Traci arranged for a video call with Martin Laurent, hoping that he might know where Markham might be. Martin referred to a summer house and agreed to give Traci more information about Markham’s potential whereabouts if she visited him in person.
