The Young and the Restless Recap July 27-31, 2026: Nikki Regains Her Sight, Cane and Lily Reconnect, and Matt Defies Victor

Here is your weekly recap of The Young and the Restless for the episodes that aired July 27 through 31, 2026.

Wise Words from Audra Charles

Audra advised Sally to tell Billy about returning Newman Media to Adam before he heard it from someone else. Victor and Victoria were skeptical about Adam and Chelsea’s claims that they convinced Sally and Audra to give up Newman Media without a fight to avoid doing battle with Victor. Victoria sought out Sally’s side of the story and ended up spilling the news about Adam’s coup to Billy, who pretended Sally had already told him. Sally tried to stick with the story that she’d relinquished the company for nothing, but Billy sensed she wasn’t telling him everything.

Adam assuaged Chelsea’s fears that he wanted to make a bigger play for the entire Newman empire to retaliate for Victor awarding the CEO position to Victoria. Adam wished he’d maintained control of Newman Media, worried that Victor and Victoria could take it from him and Chelsea at any time.

Billy threatened legal action against Adam. Later, a guilty Sally confessed to Billy that Adam had secretly paid her for Newman Media. A humiliated Billy reeled from looking like an idiot for confronting Adam. Billy and Sally agreed to focus on their future, but he remained unnerved.

Seeing the Light

Nikki lashed out in frustration over being scared and blind. Nikki had a horrible nightmare in which someone broke into the Newman ranch and tormented her by playing “Three Blind Mice” on the piano. Victor woke Nikki up and comforted her. Nikki was overjoyed when Victor’s face came into focus, and she realized her vision was returning. Victoria revealed that Nick had checked himself into rehab. Nikki felt guilty that she hadn’t been there for her son.

Romance is in the Air

Lily invited Cane over for a homemade dinner at her place. After reminiscing, they made love. Abby attempted to reconnect with Devon over a date night, but he rejected her invitation and opted to turn to Lily for support instead. Daniel offered a friendly ear to a heartbroken Abby, while Devon admitted to Lily that he was struggling with anger issues and questioning his inherited wealth and privilege.

Phyllis convinced Matt to stay in town and build a life with her. Phyllis and Matt removed his ankle monitor together, and he left to stash it in his room at the Newman ranch to throw Victor off his trail. Phyllis became antsy when he didn’t immediately return, but he eventually showed up with his packed bag, and the two had sex.

Phyllis was livid when she woke up the next morning and found Matt gone, believing he’d abandoned her. Meanwhile, Matt visited Sienna and asked her to help convince the Newmans that he’d changed. Sienna cautioned Matt against trying to play her. Later, Noah and Sienna bitterly argued about her conflicted feelings about Matt, and she resented Noah for trying to control her.

At the Athletic Club, Victor admitted to Nikki that his love for her was stronger than his hatred toward Jack, and they reconciled. Across the room, Phyllis felt foolish when Matt explained that he’d been carving out a way to stay in town. Victor noticed Matt’s ankle monitor was missing, and he bristled when Matt announced that he’d set himself free to move out of the ranch and live with Phyllis.
