What happened on The Young and the Restless

Jack and Kyle returned from a Maryland fundraiser and became concerned when they couldn’t find Diane. Jack enlisted Detective Burrow’s help, but he was unable to offer any proof of his suspicion that Patty was behind Diane’s disappearance.
Patty paid off a man in the park. Traci was suspicious when she saw the two together. After he left, Traci refused to let Patty force pleasantries between them. Traci reminded Patty that she was responsible for the death of her daughter, Colleen.
Jack and Traci confirmed Patty’s claim that the man was Dr. Laurence Markham, a renowned psychiatrist who had treated her. Patty later showed Jack a photo of an unconscious Diane and claimed that Diane was at a clinic after suffering a mental breakdown. Patty urged Jack to let Diane go.
Mind games

Diane found herself locked in an unfamiliar house with books written by Dr. Alan Laurant on the shelf. Markham appeared and informed her that he’d found her on the side of the road after she’d suffered a breakdown. Markham fibbed that Jack had asked him to treat her. Diane had no memory of the incident and demanded that Markham allow her to leave, but he ominously referred to using other methods to treat her if she didn’t cooperate. Diane pretended to go along with Markham’s plans and secretly swiped a cell phone.
Jack attempted to manipulate Patty into releasing Diane’s location. Patty demanded that Jack choose a future with her, strongly implying that Diane would be harmed if he alerted the authorities. To the Abbott family’s horror, Jack agreed to rekindle his relationship with Patty. Patty insisted that she move into the Abbott mansion and that Jack’s family members leave, forcing Traci, Kyle, and Harrison to move into the Athletic Club. Jack tried to slow down Patty’s advances.
Victoria and Kyle commiserated over their parents’ woes. Nikki’s headaches continued to intensify, leading to blurred vision and disorientation. Nikki resisted seeing a doctor, but Victoria pressed her mother to seek medical attention. Nikki was adamant that Victor did not find out about her health issues. Claire offered comfort to Victoria, who broke down at the thought of losing Nikki.
Befriending Cane

Cane vowed to prove to Lily and her family that he’d changed. Lily presented Cane with the keys to his new Chancellor Industries office, and they shared a kiss. Phyllis took pleasure when she threw in Cane’s face that Victor had given her Arabesque.
Victor set Matt up with a phone and backstory as part of their plan for Matt to befriend Cane. Matt reached out to Cane to arrange a meeting. Matt claimed he was from Kansas and had met Adam while working on Hope’s farm. Cane guessed that Victor was behind Matt’s sudden interest in him. Phyllis saw the men meeting and warned Matt to watch his back with Victor.
At the Shadow Room

Sienna became incensed when she stumbled upon Audra flirting with Noah. Holden cautioned Audra against pursuing another unavailable man. Audra insinuated that there was something more than friendship brewing between her and Holden. Claire questioned Holden’s interest in Audra.
