Malcolm, Stephanie, Lily, and Holden got drinks at the GCAC, and they all reminisced about the past. Stephanie was now living in Genoa City, and the final piece would be Malcolm relocating, although that was quite the long shot.

Holden told the table that he and Claire were attending the opening of The Shadow Room, and he suggested that they all come with him. Stephanie was on the fence about it, but Malcolm was eager to do literally anything after such an extended stay in the hospital.

Matt's uncertain future

Nick confirmed that security was watching Matt 24/7 to avoid any potential escape. Sharon was excited to celebrate Noah and his latest achievement, and Nick started to seem like more of his old self. This was a major moment for their family, and they both wanted their son's latest venture to be a resounding success.

Sharon wanted to know what the phone call was about, and she correctly assumed it was about Matt. However, Nick didn't want to dwell on that for one night. He wanted Sharon to focus on celebrating Noah's latest achievement. They'd been through so much over the last year, and one night of relaxation and fun was much needed.

Nick wasn't sure how to reconcile the version of Matt that currently existed with the man that tormented their family for so long. It was difficult for anyone to believe his miraculous turnaround, but all they could do was wait it out. Nick sadly got a call that Christian had a fever, so he wouldn't be able to attend with Sharon.

Victor had the grand idea for Matt to live on the ranch alongside him, so he could gauge whether or not he was sincere. Sharon rightfully questioned how he'd use Matt to his advantage, and Nick explained that he could get him something that he wanted. Victor was smart enough to know that charges wouldn't stick against Matt, so why not utilize him to the fullest extent?

Old rivals, same battle

Billy and Adam were both excluded from the Beyond the Gates crossover, leaving them alone together at Society to snipe at one another. Adam wasted little time in telling Billy that Phyllis caved and handed the company back to his family. Of course, he taunted him about how the Newman family always came out on top.

Billy took great pleasure in the idea that Adam would land on the outside of his family's inner circle. Nick and Victoria would likely take the top spots, leaving him with nothing. They couldn't fall back on Newman Media because Billy successfully folded that into Sally's company.

Adam suggested they find a way to exist in the same place without so much hatred toward each other. However, with so much bad blood between them, it felt like the most far-fetched task. Billy didn't think it was possible for the two to ever get on the same page. They just couldn't help but battle each other at any chance they got.

Adam made the most ill-advised move of his life and brought up Delia and his role in her death. Billy didn't buy that Adam thought about it as much as he claimed. Instead, Billy was convinced that Adam went out of his way to pretend that it never happened. Adam acknowledged the idea of a curse where the two could never find peace, and Billy didn't think they were meant to.

Secrets return to The Shadow Room

Noah and Sienna put the finishing touches on the club before they let the outside world in. This was a major investment in their future as a couple, and he wanted it to work out more than anything. He was a bit surprised that she wasn't more nervous after her near panic attack when she first saw The Shadow Room recreation.

Noah was concerned about not having any bartenders for opening night, but he clearly forgot that this was Sienna's forte. She was no stranger behind the bar, and there was nobody that could match her knowledge and expertise.

Audra and Sally were the first to arrive at The Shadow Room, and Audra looked like she'd seen a ghost. Her past was staring her dead in the face, and it was impossible not to think about the man that lost his life at the original location. Sienna spotted her and became visibly annoyed that this woman from her previous life was standing back in her club.

Sienna greeted the women and introduced herself to Sally. However, it felt like Sienna was primed and eager to hint about Audra's past. She brought up the old club being the same place where she had met Holden, almost dancing around the idea that she knew the secret. It has always felt like Sienna knew more than she was letting on, and this interaction all but confirmed it.

Sally was observant enough to pick up on the mutual dislike between Sienna and Audra. She also noted that the mere mention of Holden sent some sort of chill down her spine. In that exact moment, Holden arrived with Claire, and now he was forced to confront his demons in the same way that Audra had.

Malcolm and Sharon shared a sweet moment when he arrived with Lily and Stephanie. He and Stephanie wanted to spend some quality time with Holden, which dawned on Sharon that Holden might be his son. He confirmed it, and they joined Lily at a table.

Everyone was desperate to get Malcolm back to Genoa City full-time. Across the bar, though, Holden and Audra couldn't help but think about the man that died at their hands. If they weren't careful, Claire was going to pick up on it and resume her quest to uncover what really went down.

Victoria was the next to arrive, and she congratulated Lily. She was talking about Malcolm, but Lily dropped the bomb on Victoria about Chancellor. Instead of it going back to Nikki like Victoria assumed, it was in Lily's hands as payment for staging the kidnapping.
