Here is your The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, March 11, 2026 featuring Adam's past coming back to haunt him, Nikki learning the truth about Jack, and Phyllis struggling to do the right thing.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Adam welcomed Nick and Sharon into his home, and they discussed their difficulties with their recent unemployment. Nick was confident that the Newmans would soon regain control of their company, but that wasn't the reason for his visit. He was there to discuss an entirely different nightmare: Matt Clark.
Sharon looked directly at Adam and said, "We need your help." Adam and Chelsea were appalled that Matt was released. Chelsea assumed they were all on edge, knowing there was a madman with a vendetta on the loose.
Adam asked how he could help. Nick explained that while Matt dealt drugs out of The Shadow Room in LA, Sienna tracked his dealings to Las Vegas. Matt's contact in Vegas was Reza, a woman from Adam's past, from his time living outside Genoa City.
Adam was completely thrown off guard, as she was a skeleton from his past that he preferred to keep buried. Sharon wondered whether the Reza attached to Matt was the same person Adam had dealt with several years ago.
Adam didn't recall Reza being involved with drugs when he lived in Vegas as Spider. She was his handler and guided him through back-room poker games. There was nothing to suggest she was in deep with something like fentanyl. Adam hadn't kept tabs on her, so he apologized for being unable to help.
Adam wanted to do more, even if it meant digging into his questionable past. He promised to think about things because that part of his life was a bit foggy. Adam told Nick that if he needed backup to handle Matt (and Reza), he'd be there for him.
After Nick and Sharon left, Adam recalled the moment he first reconnected with Sharon after being found in Las Vegas. Chelsea was concerned about Adam after that visit. Adam never wanted to revisit that part of his life. He'd evolved into a much better person than he was back then, but Chelsea urged him to work through it.

Billy greeted Sally as she stopped by to retrieve her sweater. She apologized for showing up unannounced, but he encouraged her to always use her key. Sally asked Billy for an update on Jack, and unfortunately, the news wasn't positive.
Billy demanded proof from Victor that he actually had Jack, and to Billy's dismay, he provided it. Sally asked if there were any clues in the photo from Victor pointing to Jack's whereabouts, but there weren't. However, he, Diane, and Kyle believed to have found a clue from the Jabot security footage.
Billy had a bag packed and was ready to leave town because Phyllis was dragging her feet. Sally and Billy were furious with Phyllis for not acting more quickly to douse the threat against Jack. However, Phyllis wasn't entirely convinced that Jack was in any sort of legitimate danger.
Sally didn't want Billy to give up, so she asked if there were any additional options. Billy informed her about the SUV that took Jack, pointing to a marina on Lake Michigan. This was the only lead, and since Billy had zero leverage against Victor or Phyllis, he had no choice but to follow it.
Sally offered to come with Billy to the marina, so she could assist in the search for Jack. Billy preferred to keep Sally out of danger, so he wanted her to remain at home. He had no idea what was ahead of him, so Sally needed to remain put. Victor had crossed a serious line, and Sally wanted to hold him accountable for his actions.
Billy told Sally she was right about the unforeseen consequences of taking over Chancellor. He didn't think the retaliation would be as extreme as it had been. Jack was in danger because of Billy's obsession with that company. However, Sally placed a lot of the blame on Cane and his destructive AI program.
Sally wanted Billy to focus on finding his brother, but he was appreciative that she gave him a second chance. Billy struggled with the idea of whatever Jack was going through. The more time that passed, the more terrifying the ordeal became.
Billy had been frustrated by Jack too many times to count, but his big brother was also his biggest ally. Billy prayed that Phyllis would come through and do something selfless for the first time in her life. Sally agreed, and she wished Phyllis would do the right thing and destroy the AI program before it caused more damage.

Phyllis arrived at Society, where she was immediately confronted by Nikki. She wanted Phyllis to tell her everything about whatever Victor was hiding from her. Phyllis implied that someone was in danger, but she assured Nikki that she'd come out the other side relatively unscathed.
Nikki wondered why Phyllis would ever agree to hand Chancellor back to their family. Phyllis claimed that it was out of the goodness of her heart. However, Nikki found that completely difficult to believe. She knew that Victor was keeping something from her, and she demanded to know what prompted Phyllis' about-face.
Phyllis apologized for taking Newman Enterprises from Nikki and her family. Victor had been a titan of industry for decades, so she wanted to take pity on them. Nikki wanted an explanation, but Phyllis offered her nothing. Phyllis suggested that Victor was keeping her in the dark because he didn't want her to know the truth.

Before Phyllis could say anything else, Kyle and Diane stormed into Society and asked her if she had made the deal with Victor yet. Nikki was confused about why Victor would have any idea of Jack's location.
Phyllis told Diane that Nikki was in the dark, which Diane had a field day with. Jack wasn't simply missing. Diane told her, "He's been kidnapped, and Victor's responsible. That's right. Your husband is holding my husband against his will."
Nikki was aghast at the implication that her husband would commit such a heinous crime. Diane and Kyle filled Nikki in about Jack's kidnapping, and despite Nikki's suggestion that it could have been someone else, they shut her down.
Kyle reminded everyone that Phyllis still controlled Chancellor and refused to sign it over to Billy, giving them a bargaining chip. Diane questioned what was preventing Phyllis from saving Jack. She asked if Phyllis wanted her to gravel at her feet because she was desperate enough to do just that.
Nikki turned to Phyllis and asked whether everything Diane claimed was true. Phyllis denied knowing anything about the threat against Jack. However, Diane refused to let Phyllis escape the conversation, and her plea was convincing enough to sway Nikki. Nikki demanded that Phyllis sign the company over to Victor, and she'd ensure she got Jack home.
Phyllis told Diane, Kyle, and Billy (who finally arrived) that Victor was the holdup on the deal. Chancellor was no longer enough to get Jack back. He wanted everything, including Newman Media. Diane told Phyllis to make the deal and give Victor everything he wanted. They all ripped into Phyllis, and Billy reminded Phyllis that Jack would never let her toil away. He wouldn't hesitate to do the right thing.
Later, Nikki returned home and screamed for Victor. She knew everything about what he did to Jack and the deal with Phyllis. Nikki exclaimed, "Now you're going to have to deal with me."
