Here is your The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, March 12, 2026 featuring Victoria learning about Jack's abduction, Sienna voicing concerns about Nick, and Adam agreeing to help find Matt Clark.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Victoria arrived at the ranch after being summoned by Nikki. She asked if her mother had a fight with Victor, but they hadn't yet. Nikki declared that it was coming because Victor had gone too far this time. She told Victoria, "He has kidnapped Jack!"
Victoria asked if this was the secret plan that Victor was keeping from the rest of the family. Nikki felt this plan was insane, and she confirmed she had learned the truth about spotting Phyllis at the ranch. She followed Phyllis to Society, where she also encountered Diane, who was far more forthcoming about Jack.
The situation still didn't make sense to Victoria. If Victor did this to force Billy into giving up Chancellor, why would Phyllis remain involved? Nikki explained that Phyllis still technically owned Chancellor, and that was all she knew.
Victoria wasn't certain how to react, but Nikki was furious. She already hated the idea of Lily and the twins being taken, even if Lily was in on it. However, Victor abducting Jack was a major escalation, since Jack would never agree to help him under any circumstances.
Victoria implored Nikki to think logically about the situation. Nikki didn't think that was possible, and she didn't want to get Chancellor back in her possession under these circumstances. Victoria didn't believe her father would ever physically harm Jack, but Nikki wasn't as confident. She thought her daughter underestimated the level of hate that Victor had toward Jack.
Victoria brought up Phyllis and Cane, blaming them for putting everything in motion to begin with. Nikki pointed out that neither of them had resorted to kidnapping. Victoria thought that they'd do something extreme to hold on to whatever they wanted, and she blamed the AI program for the chaos in Genoa City.
Nikki wanted to get her hands on the software to ensure it was finally destroyed. She figured that Victor would gaslight her into thinking she's crazy, and Victoria agreed that it sounded like him. Despite Nikki's fears, Victoria knew that hurting Jack would cause a rift in his marriage, so she didn't think he'd take that step.
Nikki knew that Victor was avoiding her, and she had no intentions of calming down. There was no chance of her agreeing to or accepting what he had done to Jack. Victoria urged Nikki to pick up the phone and call her husband, and even if he didn't answer, she could leave a message.
Nikki didn't think that kidnapping Jack was Victor's entire plan. There had to be more to it than that. Victoria wanted to force Phyllis' plan and enact a plan of their own. She wanted to prevent the situation from spiraling further out of control.

Noah and Sienna went to Society for dinner, and he was a million miles away. Sienna noticed how distant he was, so she asked what was going on. Noah confessed that he didn't have much of an appetite because Matt was taking over his every waking thought.
Noah was concerned about how Nick would handle the ongoing crisis involving Matt. Sienna worried that telling Nick where Matt might be located was not the best move. However, Noah was more anxious about what Nick might do to Matt if he actually found him.
Sienna asked Noah if Nick seemed a bit off to him lately. Noah questioned what Sienna meant by that statement. The way Nick had been acting recently was enough to give her pause. She felt there was a significant change in Nick since she first encountered him.
Sienna knew that this wasn't the intense version of Nick that protected his family at all costs. It was different than that. There was a specific look and feeling in Nick's eyes that sounded alarm bells for Sienna. She backtracked after saying anything, so she agreed to back off.
Noah thought the texts from Matt were to blame for Nick's sudden personality shift. However, Sienna reminded Noah that Nick had been acting differently before the news of Matt's release. Noah still didn't understand what Sienna was referring to. There were signs that Nick gave off that were familiar to Sienna, but before Noah could coax the truth out of her, he received another text from Matt.
Matt said to Noah, "Save an empanada for me," which was a sign that he knew where they were and what they were considering ordering from the menu. There were no signs of Matt at the restaurant, and he got another text from Matt, which made it unclear if he was in town.
Noah didn't think Matt was in Genoa City, but he was determined to play mind games with the entire family. Noah suggested they stop reacting to Matt's messages. He wanted to stop living his life looking over his shoulder for the other shoe to drop. Noah didn't think it was the worst thing for Nick to track Matt to Vegas.
Noah asked Sienna to come clean about whatever she previously implied about Nick's behavior. She finally came out and said that her observation was that Nick had a problem with painkillers. Sienna wasn't convinced that he did, but Noah noticed something similar.
Noah asked if Sienna believed Nick had an addiction to the drugs. She didn't want to jump to that conclusion, but his behavior was a sign of overmedication. Noah asked for examples of what she had picked up. Sienna said that the agitation, impatience, and the pain in his leg were just as dramatic.
Noah thought that Nick's agitation was understandable after everything their family had recently endured. However, Sienna ran through how these types of dependencies start and recognized the signs. Noah asked if Sienna had her own history with addiction.
Sienna didn't face any drug problems of her own, but she had seen the signs many times before. She didn't want to hurt Noah or anyone in his family. Sienna only wanted to help. She revealed that her brother died of a drug overdose, so she knew all too well what the end result of these things could be.

Outside of Crimson Lights, Nick's pain returned, which forced him to once again take fentanyl to ease it. Adam spotted Nick as he finished taking the drugs and asked if everything was alright.
Adam admitted that Nick seemed startled to see him, but Nick chalked it up to being on edge because of Matt. Nick apologized for dredging up Adam's past and dragging him into the entire mess. Adam assured his brother that everything was fine, but Nick saw the look on Adam's face. Bringing up Reza triggered a visceral reaction from Adam.
Adam remarked that Nick had come to understand him better than he had in the past. He believed that facing the demons of his past was necessary, so he was willing to assist in any way that he could. Nick wasn't sure what Adam could actually do to help since he didn't remember where Reza lived.
Adam revealed that he thought he remembered her location and was confident she was still there. As someone who didn't like altering her routine, he bet that she would remain put all these years later. Nick wanted information on where to find her, but Adam insisted he be the one to approach her.
Regardless of how many times Adam claimed he could handle dealing with Reza, Nick kept trying to keep his brother from getting further involved. Adam knew that Reza would never open up to Nick, so if he wanted to get any information out of her, Adam needed to be there.
Adam compared Nick to Victor, the way he felt like he needed to carry the weight of everything on his shoulders. Nick was worried that Adam getting involved and something going awry would set back their progress as brothers. They'd come a long way from how it used to be, and he didn't want to jeopardize that.
Adam said that as Nick's brother, he wanted to stop the monster that hurt him and his family. He told Nick that it was not a sign of weakness to lean on other people. Nick wanted to do it alone, but Adam accused him of being a martyr. There was no reason for him to handle it alone and risk losing the best lead they had.
Reza was far too suspicious a person for Nick to barrel in and ask questions. Although Reza was upset that Adam left his life as Spider behind, he was the best chance they had of getting her to crack.
Sharon came out onto the patio, and Adam filled her in about Reza's likely whereabouts. Adam questioned why Nick was so vehemently opposed to Adam tagging along. He asked if there was a hidden reason that Nick was going out of his way to keep him from going.
Adam begged Sharon to talk some sense into Nick, but she shared similar concerns. Adam had moved on from those dark times, and he was willing to relive them if it meant stopping Matt Clark. Sharon didn't think Nick was in any condition to handle the trip on his own, so he needed someone by his side.
Adam was the best and only option because of his connections to Reza. Nick asked if Adam was up for the task, and he confirmed, saying, "One hundred percent."
Later on, Adam returned home to Chelsea and told her that, after remembering where Reza lived, he offered to help Nick find Matt. Chelsea went into a panic, but Adam assured her he'd be fine. He wanted to put an end to Matt's reign of terror. However, Chelsea was terrified of Adam reverting to his Spider persona.
