Here is your The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, March 24, 2026 featuring Tessa's final plea for Mariah, Adam and Riza's reunion, and Nick's downward spiral.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

In Las Vegas, Nick spent some time in the casino, playing a table game. The dealer remarked that Nick was having a lucky night, but it was evident that something troubled him. He started to nod off, potentially a sign that the drugs were wearing off.
Nick received a call from Noah, who asked if it was a bad time. Nick said it was fine and told his son they planted the seeds to lure Matt out of hiding. Noah offered to come out to Vegas to help find Matt, but Nick was vehemently against it.
Nick asked whether something had happened that had made Noah more wound up. Noah told him about the texts from Matt, and it clearly struck a nerve. Nick asked why his son didn't tell him when he received them, but Noah didn't want Nick to fly off the handle.
Noah was under the impression that Matt was planning something big, and someone was going to get hurt. After the call, Nick lost a significant amount of money at the table. He tipped the dealer and took off, more in pain than ever before.

Adam was stunned that Riza pointed a gun at his head. He wondered why she was being so hostile toward him. Adam questioned why she felt like she needed an insurance policy against him. Riza was always a cautious woman, so she wanted to ensure that Adam wasn't wearing a wire or anything that could jeopardize her freedom.
Adam admitted that he understood why she'd be skeptical about his sudden reemergence in her life. He asked if Riza trusted him yet, but she said, "Not yet." Adam offered to make Riza a drink, but she would only accept if she watched him make it.
Riza recalled how impressed Adam was when she first met him as Spider. It was a different time in his life, when he couldn't remember his true identity. Riza called Adam her greatest protege, which led Adam to ask to be put "back in the game."
Riza didn't think Adam would ever revert to his time in Vegas. Adam pointed out the collapse of the Newman empire, and he told her about how the AI program decimated their livelihood. Riza agreed to fill Adam in about the status of her business dealings if he bought her lunch.
Riza had difficulty finding someone as talented as Spider after Adam returned to Genoa City. She resorted to alternative income avenues, but she wasn't going to tell him anything quite yet. Riza thought that Adam's sudden appearance came out of nowhere, and she struggled to believe he was pressed for money.
Adam understood where Riza was coming from, so he asked how he could squash her doubts. Riza asked if Adam was still in touch with Sharon since he had a history with her. Adam told her that things between him and Sharon didn't work out, and he was back with Chelsea and their son.
Riza felt like Adam and Chelsea's reunion was unfortunate. Adam told her that he didn't recall if he and Riza were ever an item, and she hinted at the possibility that they were. Riza thought his memories might return if they spent more time together. As she was leaving, she pulled him in for a passionate kiss.
Nick returned to the hotel room, furious that Adam didn't get the answers they wanted. Nick told Adam that Noah received another threat from Matt, and he wanted the nightmare to end.
Adam noticed that something was wrong with Nick because he was in a completely different mindset. He asked Nick to look at him because something was off. The more he stared at his brother, the more worried he became.

At the GCAC, Danny signed autographs for fans at the bar. Christine arrived shortly after and loved seeing fans gush over her husband. She wanted to skip breakfast and go straight to a drink, and he inquired if there was an issue with Mariah's case.
Christine wanted Mariah to agree to the plea deal. However, she insisted it was the last thing she deserved. Danny asked why Mariah was opposed to accepting the deal. Christine told him that she didn't think probation and treatment were enough of a punishment.
Danny wanted Christine to take a break from work, but she pointed out that they had only recently returned. He suggested that Christine join him in Spain for a private concert. Christine loved the idea, but the hearing kept her in Genoa City for the time being.
Even if Mariah agreed to the deal, Christine needed to stay in town to deal with the aftermath. However, if Mariah continued to be a martyr, they'd go to trial, which would take up even more of Christine's time.
Daniel showed up, and his attitude made Danny ask if something went wrong with Tessa. He told his father, "All good things for me, they come to an end." After hearing that, Danny asked Daniel to take a seat and tell them what was going on.
Daniel claimed to be fine, but his face said otherwise. Danny didn't understand how things between Daniel and Tessa were over, and Christine asked why Daniel backed off. Daniel said he wanted Tessa to be with her wife and wished that Mariah and Tessa were on the right path toward reconciliation. He refused to stand in the way.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon observed that Tessa was willing to meet with Mariah. She felt like it was a big step, but Mariah shrugged off the importance of it. Sharon reminded her daughter that she had a monumental choice ahead of her before tomorrow's hearing. Whatever Mariah chose would change her life forever.
Sharon thought Tessa might find a way to convince her wife to take the plea deal. Mariah didn't think anything Tessa said would change her mind. She had herself convinced that she deserved to spend years behind bars.
Sharon explained to Mariah that she wasn't the only person who would be impacted by her decision. She pleaded with her daughter to let her loved ones be there for her. Mariah appreciated Sharon's concern, but she wanted everyone to just stop telling her how to live her life.
Mariah didn't think she deserved to be around anyone. She wanted to spend time in prison and punish herself for her actions. Mariah felt as if everything was working out the way it was supposed to, so she didn't think there was anything left for her and Tessa.
According to Mariah, going to prison was the best way for Tessa and Aria to move on with their lives. After listening to Sharon a bit more, she decided that she should meet with Tessa. This could be the final chance to convince her wife that things were permanently over between them.
Mariah panicked because Tessa hadn't replied to her. However, once Tessa responded, Mariah calmed down a bit. She agreed to meet Mariah at the Chancellor Park Cafe. Sharon told Mariah to listen to Tessa and not make snap judgments about the situation.
Chelsea walked in as Mariah was leaving, and Sharon filled her in on what was going on. Between Mariah and the Vegas drama, she didn't know how to proceed. Sharon asked if Chelsea had heard from Adam since they arrived, and since she hadn't, Sharon assumed she was worried.
Noah arrived at the coffee shop and told Sharon and Chelsea that he just heard from Nick. They only recently checked into the hotel, so he didn't have more of an update for them. Sharon asked Noah if he received another text from Matt because the worry was written all over his face. Noah lied and said he hadn't heard anything.

Mariah and Tessa awkwardly sat down for their meeting, and Mariah confessed she was surprised to hear from Tessa. However, it was Tessa who was more stunned to hear from Mariah. Mariah said she wanted to end things for her sake and for their daughter's well-being.
Tessa didn't know what to think, but if Mariah had any love left for her, she wanted her to be honest about her feelings. Mariah assumed that Daniel had told Mariah about their recent run-in. Tessa acknowledged that Daniel told her what happened, but she believed it was more than a weak moment. Their love might be what Mariah needed to heal her heart.
Mariah was convinced she was going to prison for kidnapping Dominic. Tessa said that Mariah could get the help she needed and become the person she wanted to be for her and Aria. She was adamant that Mariah didn't have to face this alone. Forgetting their marital issues, Tessa wanted Mariah to let her be there for her.
Tessa reminded Mariah that she was the bravest person she knew. She wanted Mariah to fight, but Mariah didn't think there was anything left to fight for. Mariah encouraged Tessa to live her life with Daniel and be happy.
All Tessa wanted was for Mariah to let her back in. She felt like their family deserved the chance to fight for the right to survive. Tessa knew that Mariah wasn't a genuine threat to anyone, and she begged for Mariah to return to her and their daughter.
Mariah initially got up to leave yet again, but she paused. Tessa took a deep breath and asked again if Mariah could admit that she needed her help and wanted to work things out. She made another plea for Mariah to try, and she said, "If you want me to walk away, then I will go, and I won't bother you again. So what is it? Are you willing to give us another try or not?"
