On the Monday, May 4th episode of The Young and the Restless, Nikki suggests a career move for Claire, Jack shares his plan with Kyle, and Patty schemes to keep Jack and Diane apart.
Nikki and Claire have plans on The Young and the Restless

At the Chancellor Park Café, Nikki and Claire reminisced about the days when they could easily spend time together at the Newman ranch. Claire wondered if Nikki would return as CEO of Chancellor, but Nikki doubted there was much chance of that happening when she and Victor couldn’t stand to be in the same room together.
Nikki considered starting a nonprofit in Katherine’s name or helping Noah get his nightclub off the ground. Claire admired how her grandmother never settled or gave up. Nikki asserted that her failures had taught her that living life was all about moving forward. Claire thought she should apply the sentiment to her own life, since she had no idea what to do next. Nikki proposed that Claire consider running Chancellor.
Claire protested that she didn’t have enough experience, but Nikki pointed out that she’d be there to give advice and support. Claire countered that Nikki was the only person who belonged at the top of Chancellor, and Lily’s ears perked up as she passed by. Lily flashed back to asking Victor if he was ready to hand Chancellor over to her and Devon.
Lily mentioned that she’d overheard the women discussing taking back control of Chancellor. Nikki was sure she wouldn’t be running Chancellor anytime soon and questioned what deal Lily had made with Victor to make Cane think Lily and the twins had been in jeopardy. Putting on her best poker face, Lily claimed that her only motivation had been to teach Cane a lesson.
Will Jack’s master plan work?

At Crimson Lights, Jack ran into Patty and asked if she’d followed him. She admitted that she’d been disappointed when he hadn’t said hello at the Athletic Club when they both knew he’d wanted to. Patty voiced surprise that he was still wearing his wedding ring. Jack guessed that Patty was still in Genoa City because Victor had reneged on his deal with her – or she was still on Victor’s payroll.
Patty maintained that she had no idea who had sent her to the yacht, but it hadn’t been a terrible night. Jack flatly reminded her that he’d been drugged. Patty purred that she couldn’t stop thinking about that night, so she urged him not to fight their attraction. Kyle walked in as Patty seductively suggested she and Jack get out of there.
Kyle interrupted, so Patty sauntered off. Jack explained that he’d been trying to get Patty to admit Victor had paid her to drug and seduce him. Kyle warned that Jack was playing with fire. Jack revealed his plan to play on Patty’s attraction to weaponize her against Victor. Kyle complained that his father was giving up on his mom to focus on getting revenge. Jack argued that Diane had given up on him.
Jack didn’t know what else to do other than accept the reality that Diane couldn’t forgive him. Kyle suggested that he lead the charge to make sure Victor paid for what he’d done while Jack stayed focused on his marriage. Jack realized that Victor would be expecting an attack from him but not from Kyle. Jack believed that while Victor was distracted with getting his company back, they could use Patty to destroy any chance Nikki would ever go back to Victor.
Are Victor and Patty becoming BFFs?

At the Athletic Club, Diane scowled when she ran into Victor. He assumed she was a guest of the club because Jack had broken her heart. Diane found it refreshing that Victor knew what it felt like to lose everything. Victor informed her that his loss was being rectified, but Diane noted that Nikki seemed to be in no rush to hurry home. Diane hoped to live to see the day he fell so far down he couldn’t climb back up. Patty joined them and chirped that the day couldn’t get any better.
Victor and Patty exchanged pleasantries, and Diane scoffed at them acting like it was the first time they’d seen one another since Patty had returned to town. Diane ranted that Patty was as crazy and dangerous as she’d ever been. Patty bragged that she’d been talking to Jack earlier about how their connection had grown deeper during their night on the yacht.
Diane spat that nothing had changed before walking away. Patty noted that Diane would be alone in her big hotel bed, thinking about the man who’d wound up in Patty’s arms. Victor considered Patty the gift that kept on giving if she managed to keep Jack and Diane apart.
Patty credited Victor for giving her the opportunity to remind Jack that their fates were written in the stars. Patty intended to take full advantage of Diane’s commitment to holding a grudge. Diane watched as Patty and Victor clinked their glasses together.
Will Victoria have second thoughts about implicating Billy?

Victoria stopped by Billy’s house and assumed she was there to discuss driving the kids home for summer break. Victoria announced that she was there to warn him, since he’d been implicated in incriminating emails between Phyllis and Cane that had been discovered during a forensic sweep of Chancellor’s server.
Billy guessed that Victor had threatened Phyllis to try to force her to give Newman back, and the emails were as fictitious as the program that had taken the company down. Victoria defended that her father just wanted to see justice served, but Billy accused her of lining up behind a corrupt man who lied, cheated, and stole to get what he wanted while creating as much collateral damage as possible. Billy was appalled that she was on board with a plan that could take him down.
Billy contended that he’d done nothing illegal, but Victoria blasted him for trying to destroy their children’s legacy. Billy ordered her to tell Victor to leave him out of his revenge scheme or live to regret it. Victoria and Billy continued yelling at one another as Sally arrived home. Victoria mentioned that she’d stopped by to give Billy a heads-up as a courtesy.
Victoria noticed Sally’s ring, and Billy confirmed he and Sally were engaged. Victoria congratulated the couple, noting that it was a surprise. Billy gushed that they were in love and had never been happier. He added that he would have told Victoria, but he’d been distracted by her “heads-up.”
Billy divulged that Sally was pregnant, and Victoria stammered that it definitely changed things. Billy remarked that a baby put everything in perspective about what was important and what wasn’t. Billy planned to tell Johnny and Katie on the drive home.
After Victoria left, Sally wanted to make sure Johnny and Katie were part of the baby’s life. Billy revealed the real reason Victoria had been there, and Sally wondered what the fabricated emails meant for him. Billy didn’t know, but he vowed to find out.
