When In London

Billy unexpectedly showed up at the Newmans’ London apartment, looking for Victoria, who was setting up a romantic setting for Kyle. Victoria kept mum until Billy left, and the men barely missed running into one another. Victoria and Kyle later had sex and envisioned staying in hotels across Europe together.

Billy and Cane met at a London pub to wait for word from Snapper, who had indicated that the 48 hours after Jill’s surgery would be crucial. Cane called Billy out on making Jill’s illness all about himself. Billy admitted that it had killed him to see Jill in such a weakened state. Cane assured Billy that Jill would soon be a force again.

Billy returned to see Victoria as she was leaving her apartment. Kyle scrambled to hide his presence, shivering on the terrace when Victoria was unable to avoid letting Billy in. Victoria explained the elaborate spread of food and Champagne by claiming she’d been entertaining a business associate.

A restless Kyle went out for a walk and ended up at the same pub as Cane. The men reflected on the difficulty of making peace with their parents. Kyle grew defensive when Billy joined them and peppered him with questions about why he was in London instead of Paris. Meanwhile, Victoria had a nightmare in which Billy blasted her after finding her in a compromising position with Kyle. Victoria considered ending the affair, fearful that it was a just matter of time before she and Kyle were caught.

Motherhood Blues

Sally confided to Audra that motherhood was overwhelming, and she couldn’t sleep out of fear that something bad would happen to Ruby. Audra encouraged Sally to ask for help when she needed it.

Audra taunted Claire about Holden’s extended trip to Europe, hinting that he wanted to be away from Claire. Claire claimed that she knew about Audra and Holden’s secret from L.A. and threatened to expose it if Audra didn’t leave her alone.

Nick voiced concern about the emotional toll delivering Sally’s baby had taken on Adam, but Chelsea insisted it had been dealt with. Adam and Sally bonded over the feelings of grief for Ava that Ruby’s birth had stirred up. Adam was appalled that Billy had left Sally alone to go to London, but Sally defended her husband’s need to see his ailing mother. Sally later fretted to Jack, Traci, and Diane that Billy didn’t make wise choices while under stress.

Lily told Devon and Nate that she was cancer-free. Devon agreed to try to accept that Cane would be part of Lily and the twins’ lives. Lily fired Nate from Winters, insisting he return to medicine. Nate recognized that he wouldn’t be able to perform surgery right away, but he looked forward to becoming a doctor again. Cane prepared to return home after Jill’s condition stabilized.

Phyllis was shaken when Nick informed her that Matt had been committed to a psychiatric facility after breaking into Sharon’s home. Sharon confronted Nick after discovering that Matt hadn’t checked into any local clinics. Nick claimed that Matt had opted to go to a hospital out of town to avoid causing Sharon more distress, but he refused to tell her the location.

Sharon confided to Phyllis that she was scared Nick might have taken drastic action to get Matt out of their lives. Phyllis admitted that she was terrified of Matt’s dark side, and she agreed to help Sharon get the truth out of Nick.
