The Young and the Restless Recap, September 7-11, 2026: Nick and Marie Say Goodbye, Patty Escapes, and Jack Collapses

On The Young and the Restless from Monday, September 7, through Friday, September 11, 2026, Marie left town, Phyllis almost caught Victoria with Kyle, Patty’s visit unnerved Matt, and Jack suffered a medical emergency.

Surprise Goodbye

Nick attempted to protect Marie by taking the blame for Logan’s death, but Marie stepped up to confess the truth and take full responsibility. Marie reasoned that she might have a chance to get clean with Logan out of the picture. Nick arranged for Michael to serve as Marie’s attorney, and Michael later informed Nick that Marie had been released after the police concluded she’d killed Logan in self-defense.

Marie returned to rehab to thank Nick for standing by her and informed him that she was leaving Genoa City to move closer to her parents to have a support network while she pursued treatment in her hometown. Nick and Marie shared a passionate kiss goodbye. Nick decided he was ready to leave rehab and move on with his life.

Secret Lovers

Kyle and Victoria met at a motel for another secret tryst, though she was adamant that they end things before their families found out. In the room next door, Phyllis and Matt plotted to stage a scenario in which Matt would seemingly rescue Sharon to win her trust. Victoria panicked when Phyllis nearly spotted her exiting Kyle’s room, expecting Phyllis to blackmail them if she found out about their affair.

Phyllis convinced Sharon to join her for lunch to put Matt’s staged rescue plan into action. Meanwhile, Patty escaped from prison and tracked down Matt at the motel, and then warned him against trusting Phyllis. Matt rejected Patty’s idea that they team up but also bailed on his plan with Phyllis, opting to redeem himself in a real way. Phyllis later discovered Patty’s sunglasses in Matt’s room.

Business Deals

In Tahiti, Diane tended to Jack after he was bitten by a centipede. Diane admitted that she felt like she was falling in love with her husband all over again. Jack and Billy argued about Billy’s obsession with Chancellor. Jack offered to fund a new startup for Billy to run, but Billy remained intent on winning back Chancellor. Nikki threatened to testify against Billy to keep him from gaining control of the company.

Audra demanded a hefty payout from Victoria in addition to recognition and an exclusive advertising deal between Vibrante and Spectra‑Charles in exchange for her cosmetics patents. Victoria acknowledged Audra’s business savvy, but they were unable to reach terms.

Sally and Billy met with a wedding planner, Pietro, who pitched multiple outrageous event themes until they settled on a retro‑inspired celebration. Audra encouraged Sally to push Billy to give up on Chancellor. Billy accepted Jack’s offer to help him start a new company.

Jack’s Attack

Victoria asked Nikki to head Vibrante, but Nikki was opposed to resurrecting the fake social media feud between Vibrante and Jabot. Victoria agreed to let Nikki run the company as she saw fit. Kyle and Victoria hid their disappointment about dropping the staged marketing campaign. Diane was disturbed when Jack supported Nikki’s latest venture.

Detective Burrow informed Jack that Patty had escaped police custody. Patty called Jack, who tried to convince her to meet him. Patty declined, claiming she was leaving the country, but the Abbotts were skeptical. Patty contemplated whether Jack actually reciprocated her feelings. Later, Jack collapsed at Society from an apparent heart attack.

Stephanie escorted Nate home to recover from surgery, surprising him with a recording of the procedure. Lily, Devon, and Nate toasted to their family and Nate’s potential return to medicine. Stephanie and Nate later settled in to watch the recording together, and they shared their first kiss.
