On The Young and the Restless, the repetitive feud between Claire and Audra has officially reached a level of absolute redundancy for exhausted viewers now.
What Happened on The Young and the Restless

Can we just move on from this now? Seriously, how much longer are we going to be subjected to inane dialogue between these two? New episode, same drivel. Claire, either date Holden or not, we don’t care anymore, hate Audra or not, we still don’t care. Audra, we know you love baiting Claire, but for the love of Pete, let it go.
The latest run-in at Society showed just how stale this dynamic has become because Audra (Zuleyka Silver) held the door for Claire (Hayley Erin), claiming their war was over, only for the two to immediately launch into the exact same passive-aggressive sniping we’ve watched for weeks. And weeks. I could mute the sound, and do the lines for myself at this point, hmmm now there's an idea!
Claire announced she is dropping the quest (is she really though? or that's just todays lines) for information about her past with Holden, and is completely done with Holden due to his endless secrets, which should have felt like a massive character shift, but instead it just felt like another Tuesday in Genoa City.
Holden buddy, you just dodged a bullet, the Newmans are a mess of titanic proportions and you're better off sticking with Cane.
Audra, predictably, accused Claire of using the man just to dig up dirt on her. She then suggested Claire only dumped Holden (Nathan Owens) to clear a path back to Kyle (Michael Mealor). I wonder if they head off set and laugh with ne another oiver coffee at the absurdity.
It is a merry-go-round of accusations that go absolutely nowhere and leave the audience wondering why two such high-powered, intelligent women are reduced to arguing over men in a restaurant lobby. When Kyle and Holden both conveniently walked into the restaurant all it did was make me groan, it felt less like daytime drama and more like a stage play where everyone hits their marks, but nobody feels the lines. Trust me, we're not feeling it either.
Let's just keep going over it

Claire's stating that Holden can freely pursue Audra now is a plot beat viewers saw coming from a mile away. Thanks for the permission Claire, it is frustrating to watch two capable characters get stuck in a tedious holding pattern, with the dialogue just a constant rehash of old wounds. In fact most of the episode was a rehash of conversations, maybe they knew we hit the fast forward button and just gave us an refresh out of spite haha.

Claire insists she doesn't date with an agenda (of course not Claire, you're way to classy for that), Audra throws out thinly veiled insults (they were actually not veiled, they were blunt and that's one thing I love about Audra) about Claire's dark past with Jordan, and neither storylines go anywhere worth watching.
Fans are voicing their frustration loudly across social media platforms. One X user stated, "I am begging the writers to give Claire and Audra something else to do. This argument is on a loop, and I'm fast-forwarding." Over on Facebook, a long-time viewer noted, "Audra and Claire at Society was a total snoozefest. We get it, they despise each other. Please give them new scene partners."
So where now?

It is well over due these two ladies get involved with something fresh, like Audra working with Sally, let's have these two do something big and Claire, maybe you could seek out Matt Clark and give him the 'ol Jordan treatment.
As for Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), I really want to see him deal a few more blows to the Newmans, his hilarious text game with Noah (Lucas Adams) had me howling. The one shining spot for me watching The Young and the Restless at this point is seeing the Newmans rant and rave about poor them, and the complete absurdity of Victor (Eric Braeden) wanting to kidnap people left right and center. Soon the whole cast will be in his basement.
