Now that The Young and the Restless' Nick, Sharon, Noah, and Adam escaped Matt's trap, what's ahead for Nick? Will he willingly check himself into a rehab facility for treatment for his drug addiction? Once he flies back to Genoa City, will the Newmans stage an intervention for him?
Nick's pill addiction on The Young and the Restless

Thankfully, Nick (Joshua Morrow) was brought to a hospital after Sharon (Sharon Case), Adam (Mark Grossman), and Noah (Lucas Adams) got him out of the abandoned gas station before Matt (Roger Howarth) detonated it. And thanks to Victor's (Eric Braeden) fast-acting security team, the Newmans were picked up and driven back to the hotel.
Now that Nick's addiction is in full swing, will the Newmans stage an intervention for him? The Newmans are one of the most (if not the most) influential families in Genoa City, and Nick is one of Victor's beloved children. It could make for a powerful and potentially stand-alone episode if the entire hour were centered on the Newmans gathering at the ranch to encourage Nick to check into rehab.
Wednesday's episode included a mini intervention with Nick, Adam, Sharon, Noah, and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) in the Vegas hotel room. But think of all the other Newmans back in GC who could lend Nick support as well: Victor, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Abby (Melissa Ordway), and Claire (Hayley Erin).
Nick has only known Claire as his niece for a couple of years, but he and Sharon appreciated that she visited Noah in Los Angeles when he was hospitalized and comatose. Claire may want to lend her support during the intervention as well.
Nick and Adam have become true brothers, at long last

Wednesday's episode featured a touching scene of Nick thanking Adam for being there for him during his darkest hour. Nick didn't say those exact words, but he didn't need to. The simple "thank you," followed by the brotherly embrace, was all Adam needed. It was the equivalent of a gift from the brother who used to hate him.
Adam was the black sheep of the Newman family for years. But today, it finally felt like Nick truly accepted him as his brother. We had a similar moment last summer between Adam and Victoria. He offered her support when Cole (J. Eddie Peck) was in the hospital, and again when Cole died. That was the first time Adam acted like a caring brother to her.
Many Y&R fans are happy that Nick and Adam are finally starting to get along, and today's episode has surely made those fans even happier. We hope that Nick and Adam's embrace is a sign that the Newman brothers are finally going to become close.
An intervention may help reunite Victor and Nikki

An intervention would force Victor and Nikki to work together out of love for their son and his well-being. It might not be a silver bullet that will magically fix their broken marriage, but it could go a long way toward moving the marriage in a positive direction. If Victor and Nikki are able to work as a team to encourage Nick to seek help, then it may motivate both of them to reconsider their separation.
Maybe even Sienna (Tamara Braun) could join the Newmans in the intervention. She once told Noah that her brother died from a drug overdose. She may want to share that personal experience with Nick, if it will encourage him to seek treatment. She loves Noah, so she may want to help his father in any way she can.
An intervention could create a very emotional and moving episode of high drama, giving the Y&R cast an opportunity to showcase the range of their acting talent. So many fans love Nick and want him to recover. An intervention from his family would be an excellent way to kick-start that recovery.
