Thank goodness The Young and the Restless' kidnapping storyline is over, and Dominic and Mariah have been found. One particular scene that made an emotional impact on fans was the scene of Sharon and Mariah's reunion. The mother/daughter bond is a powerful one.
The mother/daughter reunion on The Young and the Restless

It seemed fitting that The Young and the Restless' Sharon (Sharon Case) was the first person to speak to Mariah (Camryn Grimes), since she's her mother. When Sharon held Mariah's hand, that gesture was one of the most significant parts of the scene, as well as Sharon's assurance that she will love Mariah no matter what. Mariah needed to feel the warmth of her mom's loving touch. She needed to know the depth of her mother's love, no matter what she's done wrong. Facebook fans were moved by the reunion, which was a long time coming.
"Both actresses did an amazing job! What an emotional experience and heart-wrenching for a parent. Bravo," one fan commented, adding clapping emojis.
"This scene had me in tears," another fan commented, adding a heart emoji.
"This was an extraordinary scene," still another fan said. "Sharon understands mental health challenges and can offer some insight to her daughter."
"So touching and such raw emotion," another fan noted.
"Sharon and Mariah were the best scenes we have seen in a long time," one fan remarked.
"This scene made me cry," yet another fan commented. "I felt so sorry for Mariah."
"Was a sad, bittersweet scene," one user noted.
"I sat and bawled my eyes out watching this episode," another fan said.
"It ended in the best way it could have," one fan pointed out. "With a mother's love and caring. Mariah breaking down at the end was heartbreaking."
"Those scenes with Sharon and Mariah had me crying," another fan admitted.
One Facebook user posted, "I was holding my breath, hoping it was Sharon stepping into the car and not Ian [Ray Wise]. Very powerful end to Mariah and Dom on the run. I also thought Camryn did a great job of showing us mental illness and what goes on with people when they do the unthinkable."
Fans also loved Ethan Ray Clark's portrayal of Dominic

Fans were enamored with The Young and the Restless' Ethan Ray Clark, the talented young actor who is now playing Dominic. He made us feel like we were right there with him through the whole disturbing journey. He did a wonderful job making us feel badly for him as he grew increasingly confused about where Mariah was taking him and as he kept asking whether he would be reunited with his parents, Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon (Bryton James). Here's what Facebook users said about Clark:
"He's quite the little actor!" one fan cried.
"I'm so impressed by the acting skills of that new little boy who plays Dominic," another fan remarked.
"The little boy did a great job acting throughout," still another fan agreed.
"The new Dominic is such a cutie pie and a great little actor," one fan gushed.
We're relieved that Dominic has been reunited with Abby and Devon, and we look forward to seeing more of him on The Young and the Restless.
Fans are happy the kidnapping storyline ended quickly

Facebook fans of The Young and the Restless are relieved that this storyline is over, and so are we. We knew Abby and Devon would find Dominic, but Mariah has been badly in need of help for many months now. Her problems never should have escalated to the point where she felt compelled to kidnap a child.
"Just happy this storyline did not drag out another week!" one fan stated. "They actually wrapped it up fairly quickly."
"Hopefully, this is the last of this storyline," another fan agreed.
"I'm so glad they didn't carry this out for weeks and weeks and make it to Mexico," still another fan remarked.
"Thankful it's over," another fan agreed.
"So glad Dominic is home," one relieved fan said.
We're all grateful that the Y&R writers concluded this storyline. Let's hope Mariah gets all the love, support, and help that she needs. And let's also hope that Dominic's next storyline is a happy one!
