The Young and the Restless characters Nick and Sharon shared some pointed looks today when Noah and Sienna were discussing their future. Nick and Sharon were behaving not just like Noah's parents, but like an old married couple. For some reason, they're not, though. There are three good reasons we can think of as to why that should change!
The Young and the Restless, Ah, Shick!

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) have been divorced for years, but now just might be the time for them to reunite. They're pretty much acting like a married duo already. Last year, they traveled to France as a couple. Sharon stood by Nick when he nearly lost his life at the hands of Cane's (Billy Flynn) henchman.
Later in the year, they ventured to Los Angeles and saw each other through another ordeal -- their son, Noah (Lucas Adams), being in a car accident, caused by their old enemy, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
More recently, Sharon stepped up more like a wife (not an ex-wife) and made sure Nick got checked out at the hospital. If Nick's drug addiction story ends up happening, we can see Sharon being the one to see him through his ordeal.
Shick V. Phyllis, and Love Story

Nick and Sharon tying the knot again would not sit well with Phyllis. She didn't take it well when Danny (Michael Damian), her ex-husband, and his ex-wife, Christine (Lauralee Bell) remarried, and Phyllis isn't even in love with Danny anymore!
We're guessing that Phyllis does still love Nick, despite her teaming up with Cane to bring down Newman Enterprises. It would not only break Phyllis's heart if she lost her videogame-playing pal and the father of her daughter, Summer (Allison Lanier), to his ex, but she'd feel like any chance she had of reconciling with Nick would be gone. This would add an interesting wrinkle to Phyllis and Cane's war with the Newmans.
Another reason to get married is to give Nick's son, Christian, a steady home life. Who the heck was watching him when Nick slept over at Sharon's recently? Maybe Christian's old enough to stay home alone? If Nick and Sharon were to remarry, maybe we'd finally see him as (depending on his age) a ring bearer, usher, or best man?
However, the best reason for Nick and Sharon to remarry is that they love each other. On her deathbed, their daughter Cassie (Camryn Grimes, now Mariah) predicted that Nick and Sharon would have another daughter, which they did -- Faith (Reylynn Caster). It was surprising that their child didn't bring them back together.
Perhaps Nick and Sharon will get back together? It's been teased many times over the years. Fueling the feud with Phyllis, giving Christian a more solid home, and being in love are three reasons why Nick and Sharon should get married again on The Young and the Restless! Will it happen? Stay tuned!
