On the Tuesday, August 25, 2026, episode of The Young and the Restless, Claire had some pointed questions, Diane had some complaints, and Victor and Lily remained stubborn.
New Propositions

Kyle is intrigued when his accidental run-in with Victoria at the cafe in Chancellor Park comes with a business proposition. Victoria suggests that they re-launch Vibrante without Audra's help. Although Kyle likes the idea, he is also skeptical. Would Victor be ok with this since it would be in competition with Jabot?
Victoria promised Kyle she could handle her father. She wanted to stage a battle between the two companies. She just needed an answer. Kyle wasn't sure what to think.
"You want my help jumpstarting your division. I think you may be overestimating my generosity," Kyle said. Victoria continued with her pitch, claiming this would be great publicity. "Are you afraid of a little healthy competition, Kyle?" Victoria asked. Kyle wondered how Victor would feel, but Victoria said she could handle her father.
He was willing to run it by his own father, but he also had to deal with Claire, who spots her mother talking to her ex. When Victoria leaves, the two make some small talk as Kyle asks how things are going with Holden.
However, Claire wants to get down to business and asks Kyle if working with her mother is all some sort of ploy to get revenge on her family. Kyle looked like she may have found him out.
Diane's Jealousy

During an outing at Society, Jack and Diane discuss their latest troubles with Billy. Jack is frustrated, but Billy plans to dive head first into running Chancellor as a part of John Abbott's legacy. But Lily has offered to pay the debt, which would then ruin Billy's plans.
Jack was sure that Traci and Ashley would be on board with what Lily wanted. However, Jack worried about what Billy would do. "He might cut me out of his life forever," Jack said. "He does seem to blame you more than he does your sisters," Diane pointed out.
Jack and Diane note how sick they are of Billy's drama and machinations and just wish it would all end. Diane suggests they take a vacation to get away from it all, which sounded great at first until Jack remembered that he promised to help Nikki with Nick.
Diane was immediately perturbed and wondered why Nikki came first again. "Are you saying that doing a favor for Nikki is more important than spending time alone with me?" Diane asked.
Jack realized he was in a pickle with his wife and explained that Nick was not Nikki and he would be there for his former stepson if necessary. Diane also worried that Jack would risk his life again, the way, he did two years ago for Nikki. A bothered Diane tried to change the subject back to Billy. She urged Jack to just accept Lily's offer and not worry about what Billy would think.
Victor's Stubborness

Victor tried to have a delivery order sent to Nick's rehab facility, but the place wouldn't allow it, which surprised Victor. When Nikki arrived home to the Newman Ranch, she was emotional and frazzled and needed a hug. She told Victor about her call from Nick. He was trying to sound okay, but she knew the tone in his voice said otherwise.
"I recognized it. You feel ashamed. You feel like you've let everybody down," she said. "He gave a request before he left. One that gave me hope." Nick wanted to see his father, which pleased Victor.
Then, Nikki started to slowly bring up sponsorship. Nick was in a lot of trouble and would need a good one. Jack offered to be Nick's sponsor, which Nikki thought was a wonderful idea. Not surprisingly, Victor thought it was an awful idea, just as he had told Jack. Clearly, Diane isn't very happy about it either for obvious reasons.
Victor and Nikki argued back and forth about this matter as they always do. Nikki couldn't do it anymore and begged Victor to put aside his hatred for Jack for just a little while for the sake of their son. Victor felt that Nick was improving without Jack's help, so why put themselves through this fighting?
When Victoria arrived, Victor and Nikki asked her opinion on the matter. Victoria thought that Nick should be the one to decide since it is his sponsor, after all. She also reminded Nikki that the rehab facility might have someone they could recommend. Nikki agreed with Victoria, but Victor wasn't so sure. Finally, he said he would consider it, pleasing the women in his life.
Strange Bedfellows

After their walk and talk in the park, Nate and Stephanie returned to his penthouse, where they made small talk about medicine. It seemed they always felt the need to be doctors. They had stethoscopes as children and Stephanie always felt the need to help people.
Nate knew that medicine was for him when his friend was in a high school motorcycle accident and Nate helped him. He was cool and collected and something about fixing injuries just felt right. He knew he had to be a doctor again. After a few awkward moments, a flustered Stephanie left, but ran into Devon in the hall first.
Nate also saw Devon in the hall, so they had a talk about Lily in Devon's apartment. They worry that Lily will do anything to hold onto Chancellor, which can only mean trouble. Neither one of them thought that Chancellor was worth it and Nate just wanted to focus on his surgery and practicing medicine again.
Is Diane right to want Jack to pay attention to her? Is Lily being obsessive about Chancellor? Let us know in the comments.
