Y&R Recap July 10: Crazy Patty's Hauled Away as Jack and Diane Reunite

Here's your recap for The Young and the Restless episode that aired on Friday, July 10, 2026, as Diane and Jack finally reunited while Victor made a surprise business move.

Executive Suite

Victor updated Adam and Nick on Newman Enterprises | Image: CBS

Adam, Nick, and Victor met at the GCAC and talked about Nikki's recovery. Nick thanked his dad for letting Nikki return to the mansion. Victor said that there was no other place that she should be.

Adam wanted to know what his future was now that Newman Media was part of Spectra-Charles. Victor revealed that he'd hired back most of the people that Phyllis fired. Victor added that Vicki was going to head up the company.

Victor told Nick he can go back to Newman Enterprises when he finishes rehab. Nick said that he needed the job now. Nick suggested his father have some confidence in him. Victor told Nick to give it a few months. "My decision is final," Victor stated.

Step by Step

Nikki counted out steps with Victoria by her side. Vicki told her mom to get comfortable doing what she liked doing. Nikki quipped that at the top of that list was seeing! Nikki said it was good that she was staying in a guest room on the first floor so that she didn't have to go upstairs. Nikki said that Claire helped Nikki with an app to help with her not being able to see.

Vicki said that she was moving back in to help her mother. Nikki called her daughter stubborn. Vicki quipped where did that come from? She wondered if Nikki would later move back into Victor's room.

Nikki told Vicki that she and Victor have agreed to a peaceful co-existence, but they still have issues between them. Victoria pointed out that she's seen how Victor's been affected by Nikki's condition, and he may want to get back together. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Emergency!

Kyle carried his mother, Diane, through the hospital. Diane was semi-conscious but believed Patty's drug had affected her heart. Kyle put Diane on a gurney. A nurse showed up to assist Diane. Then, Traci came upon them, and Kyle updated Traci about what happened to Diane. A doctor tended to Diane, and she was wheeled away.

Kyle and Traci went back into Jack's room. Kyle was happy that his dad had come back to them. He added that Jack didn't know the half of what he'd been worried about. Jack said that he wanted to get out of bed, but first, he wanted to get Michael Baldwin and Christine Blair Romalotti in his room so he could exonerate Diane. Jack wondered where Diane was.

Kyle told his dad that Patty came back to finish off Jack, and she almost succeeded. Traci asked where Patty was. Kyle said that she was with the police. Meanwhile, Det. Burrow and a guard escorted Patty through the hospital.

Traci commented on Patty's relentlessness. She went out in the hallway, where Patty's guard nearly bit the guard's ear off. Jack heard the commotion and insisted on seeing Patty. The police brought Patty into Jack's room. Jack said that he'd see Patty in court when she got a life sentence. He added a knife in the gut was a strange way for Patty to prove to Jack that she loved him. Jack vowed Patty would not bring Diane down. Patty speculated that maybe she already had.

"A" Her Name is Ashley

Patty was escorted out of Jack's room as she vowed to see Jack again. Jack demanded to know what had happened to Diane. Before Traci and Kyle could answer, Ashley entered the room and reunited with Jack.

While Billy was talking to Jill about joining her in London, Traci chimed in with an update on Jack. Ashley told Jack that time with her family was never wasted, even though Jack was on the mend. Ash wanted to know how Patty could get so close to Jack.

When Billy Talked to Sally

Sally arrived home. Billy told her that his mother, Jill, had been there, but was now gone. Sally wondered if Billy could ever heal the rift with his mother. Billy told Sally that Jill was doing better, but he worried about her mortality. He wondered how he'd feel if Jill died before they could reconcile. Billy said he needed to talk to Sally about going with Jill to London for a few days. Sally assured Billy that she and "little bump" (their unborn baby) would be fine.

Vicki joined her brothers and her father at the GCAC. Nick told his sister that she was running Newman. Nick was miffed that he couldn't join his sister at the helm. Adam wondered if he could have been given a job at Chancellor Industries, but that's out now that Victor gave the company to Lily. Adam wondered where he fit in. Adam said that he and Chelsea wanted to rebuild Newman Media by using the remnants of Arabesque, Cane's old company. Victor said that's not possible as he had given Arabesque to Phyllis.

Victor says that he admired how Phyllis accomplished what she had done, even though her actions hurt Newman Enterprises. Victor pointed out that Phyllis (and Matt Clark) saved Nick's life. Adam wanted to know what was going on.

Victor told Adam they were going after Spectra-Charles, and then once that happened, Adam could regain control of Newman Media. Adam said he didn't want to hurt Sally as she was pregnant. Victor said that they will get the company back from Sally.

Think of Laura

Nikki tried counting out some steps to get back to the sofa. She became unsure and called out to Victoria. Nikki was able to find the sofa in the Newman living room and sat down on it. Laura, an aide, gave Nikki her phone so she could check out the app that Claire helped her with.

Nikki decided to go to her room. She wanted to try to do it on her own, but asked Laura to stay close. Laura helped Nikki around the end table as she continued to count out her steps.

Jack and Diane's Love Story

In the hallway, a doctor told Kyle and Traci that Patty had injected Diane with digitalis. Fortunately, they were able to give her a drug to counteract it, and Diane should be able to go home soon.

Back in the room, Jack demanded to know what had happened. Kyle came clean and said that Patty nearly killed his mom, too. Jack demanded to see Diane! Kyle said that Diane was being treated. He explained that Patty was going to inject Jack with digitalis so he'd die of a heart attack. Kyle added that a guard stopped Patty from killing Jack. Then, Kyle and Diane arrived, but Patty was able to stab Diane with the digitalis needle before the police could subdue her.

Billy arrived at Jack's room. He hugged Ashley and told Jack that he'd given everyone a scare. Kyle went to check on Diane. Ashley said that Patty had been arrested and suggested they focus on Jack's miraculous recovery. Ash added that Jack was bossing people around. Jack said that he only wanted one thing -- Diane. He wanted to reconcile with her. Traci assured Jack that Diane would be fine, but Jack lamented that he had let happen what happened with Patty on the yacht.

Billy agreed with Traci that Diane loves Jack. Then, Kyle and Diane entered. Traci suggested that everyone clear out so that Diane and Jack would have some alone time. Diane began to cry. Jack asked, "Are we okay?"

Billy hoped that they were over the Patty nightmare. Traci wondered how many times they'd thought that before. Kyle feared Patty would win if Jack and Diane couldn't work things out.

Jack told Diane that she'd taken quite a risk going after Patty. She wanted to get rid of Patty. Jack said that he'd tried that, too, but he failed. Jack said his heart hurt the most. He apologized for hurting Diane. She said he had, but added quickly that she loved Jack. Diane was scared that Jack wasn't going to make it when she saw him on the floor with all the blood around him. Diane said that there was nothing she wanted or needed more than to spend the rest of her time on the planet with Jack. "I forgive you," Diane said. She told Jack she loved him, and they kissed.
