Y&R Recap November 4: Billy Lays Down the Law With Adam

On the Wednesday, November 4, 2026, episode of The Young and the Restless, Stephanie gave Nate some news, and Kyle and Victoria returned to their families. Diane and Nikki sparred, and Billy put Adam on notice.

Goodbye, Stephanie

At Genoa City Memorial, Nate told Stephanie how happy he was to be a doctor again and it was all because of Stephanie's encouragement. He owed her everything and was just anxious to eventually get back into the OR.

Stephanie ruined Nate's mood by breaking some news. She was going to take leave. However, it would only be for a few weeks so she could see Holden and Malcolm. She had every intention of returning to town. She'd missed too much of Holden's life and wanted to spend as much time as possible with her now.

"What I can do now is be present for my son. He's just so excited about the three of us spending time together," Stephanie said. She also stressed there was no chance for her and Malcolm and that she would be back before Nate could miss her.

As Nate and Stephanie embraced, a new doctor walked in and broke the moment. Dr. Andrew Bishop got on Nate's case after Stephanie left. He accused Nate of using Stephanie to get the board to give him his job back. After the two men sparred back and forth and it became apparent that Nate had a new enemy, Stephanie returned.

Stephanie told Nate that she knew they shouldn't be showing affection in the hospital halls. She would be much more careful after she returned. Nate was worried that more people would start questioning things. Stephanie assured Nate that he was there on his own merits.

Baby Talk Times Two

At Society, Abby realized that she could be pregnant and wasn't sure what to do. She couldn't even tell Devon because he was off to Maryland with Lily to see the Articulettes. Chelsea suggested that Abby take a test, but Abby didn't want to jinx things and wasn't ready to do that.

Abby's baby talk got Chelsea thinking about having a baby. While she didn't really want one, maybe Adam was just using the idea of another baby to relieve his grief about Ava. "But is it wrong of me to not want this for him? For Us? If we had another baby, will that help heal the wounds?" Chelsea wondered.

Abby asked Chelsea if she was worried about Adam's connection to the baby. Chelsea once again lied and said that wasn't a concern at all. Chelsea felt that Adam was a good dad, but she wanted to focus on the family they already had.

Kyle Under Fire

Kyle returned from his European getaway to the third degree from his parents, who were happy to see him, but had some questions. After some small talk about Ruby and Harrison, Jack informed Kyle that his mom had the brilliant idea to bring Jabot's former models back to launch the Jabot Classic line. Jack and Diane felt that Diane should also participate in the photoshoot. "Why not? You were arguably Jabot's first and most successful model," Jack said, trying to persuade his wife.

Diane said it was her company and she'd decide who modeled. "Don't you think it would be kind of weird if I featured myself?" she asked. Jack thought that was nonsense. "It couldn't be more appropriate, specifically cause it is your company," Jack asserted. Diane said she would keep the idea "under advisement."

Jack finally got around to asking Kyle who he was visiting in London, as Billy had mentioned seeing him there. Kyle was vague in his answers and had to keep his cool when Diane wondered if he had run into Victoria Newman when she was there.

Diane and Jack seemed satisfied with Kyle's non-answers, so they left him alone. As soon as they were gone, Kyle texted Victoria to tell her that he missed her.

Later, Diane stopped by Crimson Lights and ran into Nikki. Unsurprisingly, the two women argued about cosmetics. Nikki accused Jabot of being "so last century," but Diane disagreed.

Victoria's Back

While Kyle reunited with his parents after a few days away, Victoria reunited with her own parents, as well as her brother. She popped into the ranch to see her parents and learn that her father was quite pleased with her business prowess. Nikki wanted to make sure she had downtime. "Please tell me you had a little bit of fun," Nikki said.

Nick could see that Victoria might have been hiding something, so he asked her to spill. She said she was just fine and asked for the latest update on Matt. Nick said things were fine with Matt, but Victoria was worried about Nick.

When Victor returned to the room, he started talking about business. Victoria pretended to listen intently, but all she could really think about was sex with Kyle. It's a good thing she received a text to tell her that more sex was on the agenda. Later, she met with Kyle at their little apartment and promised this would be the last time.

Even More Baby Talk

At the old ranch house, Billy wanted to have a long talk with Adam, who wondered if Billy's big thank you and handshake was nothing but a big show. Billy said he was still grateful that Adam was there and able to safely deliver the baby, but he worried that Adam was growing paranoid.

"There were no secret meetings behind your back. I saw Sally and Ruby at the park," Adam said.

Adam accused Billy of looking for trouble, but Billy remained firm. He only wanted Adam to understand that this baby could not replace Ava. Billy understood what the grief of losing a child felt like, but he wanted Adam to understand that he couldn't be a part of Ruby's life.

After Billy told Adam he could no longer drop by uninvited, Chelsea returned home. Billy told Chelsea that he was just making sure that he and Adam were on the same page before walking out.
