On the Monday, October 12, 2026 episode of The Young and the Restless, Victoria convinced Nikki to revisit the social media battle, Daniel agreed to work with Phyllis, and Sharon and Nick learned about Matt’s accident.
Mind Your Manners

At the Abbott mansion, Billy told Jack that nothing would stop him from marrying Sally the next day. Jack commended Billy for handling the roast at his bachelor party with grace. Jack insisted that Billy deserved to be happy, but Billy cautioned that Jack was inviting lightning to strike. Billy vowed not to do anything to screw things up, and he pondered whether his days of mayhem were behind him.
Sally, Audra, and Coco met at the Athletic Club. Phyllis approached and gushed that she was sure Sally’s wedding day would be everything Sally dreamed of and more. Coco rambled on about how amazing the wedding would be because Sally was marrying a wonderful man who adored her. Phyllis dryly questioned whether Coco meant Billy.
Phyllis explained that she’d once been part of the Abbott family before the shine had worn off. Phyllis quickly added that she was certain the wedding would be beautiful, and Audra inquired whether Pietro was paying Phyllis to hype up his work. Phyllis revealed that she’d be hosting Sally’s wedding because she owned the building.
Audra assumed Arabesque had folded, but Phyllis explained that owning real estate was part of her plan to host corporate events. Phyllis insinuated that Audra’s days of living at the club were numbered, and she advised Sally to make sure Billy stuck the landing for their wedding, since the club wouldn’t be hosting small events forever. Phyllis suggested that people start being nice to her because Arabesque was on its way to new heights.
After Phyllis stepped away, Sally fretted about the potential tension at the event, but Audra swore she wouldn’t do anything to ruin Sally’s big day. Billy joined them, and Sally informed him that Phyllis had acquired the club. Phyllis congratulated Billy, who returned the sentiment and hoped things worked out for her. Phyllis promised it would be a gorgeous wedding if Billy minded his manners.
Audra suggested that Phyllis brush up on her interpersonal skills if she wanted positive online reviews and left with Coco for their final dress fitting. Daniel interrupted and pulled Phyllis aside. Billy suggested he and Sally elope to the courthouse, but she imagined heads would explode. Sally was confident everything would work out when and how it should.
Sally admitted that she didn’t know how she would manage not seeing Billy until the next day. Billy offered to get his own suite at the club and break the rules by sneaking into hers, but Sally preferred to honor the tradition of the bride and groom staying apart the night before the wedding. Billy supposed that spending every night with her for the rest of his life would be enough.
Meanwhile, Phyllis was shocked when Daniel announced that he’d been thinking that maybe they should work together. Phyllis hoped he’d changed his mind because he missed and loved her. Daniel explained that he thought she needed someone to protect her from herself, but he conceded that it was a little about what she’d said, too. She threw her arms around him.
Stay the Night

Victoria and Kyle woke up in one another’s arms in their secret apartment. She panicked that they’d been there all night and protested that it could never happen again. Victoria hurriedly got dressed and was relieved to see that she hadn’t missed any calls. She clarified that they could still see one another, but they couldn’t spend the whole night together again because no one could ever know about their relationship.
Victoria was grateful that Johnny and Katie wouldn’t be home from boarding school until the following morning. She just planned to tell Claire she’d gotten caught up at work. Kyle contemplated what else they could do to cover their tracks. Victoria declared that it was time for them to start hating one another. Kyle proposed that they revisit the idea of a social media war.
Victoria found Nikki busy working at the Newman ranch. Victoria mentioned the social media competition idea and reasoned that Vibrante couldn’t rely on Newman Media for exposure because of the deal they’d made with Spectra-Charles. Nikki admitted that she’d love to go after Jabot, and Victoria claimed that she found Kyle’s self-satisfied attitude irritating. Nikki decided to go for it.
Kyle returned home, and Jack inquired about the mini-crisis at Jabot. Kyle vaguely replied that he’d handled it. Jack observed that Kyle hadn’t slept and clucked that Kyle needed time away from the office to have a personal life. Kyle promised to keep the advice in mind.
Gone for Good?

At Society, Nick bristled when he ran into Adam, certain that his brother was there to keep tabs on him. Adam recommended that Nick stop saying everything was fine because everyone chalked it up to denial whenever he did. Adam hoped the police found Joe alive so their family could stop worrying. Nick mentioned that he’d just given a follow-up statement.
Detective Burrow approached, so Adam complained that it seemed the cop was harassing the Newmans. Burrow shared that he was there because there had been a car accident 100 miles south, and traces of blood had been found in the empty vehicle, along with fingerprints that belonged to Matt Clark. Burrow reported that both the driver and passenger car doors had been left open. Nick indicated that Matt had supposedly left with Patty, but he doubted that they were both gone for good.
No More Mr. Nice Guy

At the cottage, Sharon answered a call from an unknown caller. Matt remained silent on the other end of the line. Later, Nick stopped by to tell her about Matt’s car crash. Sharon realized that Matt might have called her earlier, but she believed he had been sincere about leaving town. Nick growled that he’d never trusted the guy and never would, and he wouldn’t feel comfortable until he knew where Matt was and what he planned to do next.
In his motel room, Matt groused that Patty wasn’t his responsibility. He pondered why he should wish Nick and Sharon one shred of happiness after what they’d put him through. He bemoaned that no one had ever wished him happiness except Phyllis. Matt winced in pain when he touched his head and thought about what he really wanted.
Matt considered it hurtful that he’d wanted everyone to think he’d become a better man, but he’d only gotten contempt and disgust in return. Matt realized Sharon was different because she understood the concept of a second chance, but he still thought she’d dance on his coffin even if she didn’t want his blood on her hands. Matt swore that he didn’t care what anyone thought of him. “Clearly, hero time is over,” he ominously stated.
