On the Friday, October 2, 2026, episode of The Young and the Restless, Nick told his family and the cops a tall tale, Victoria worried for her brother, and Audra told Chelsea exactly what she thought of her.
Victoria Cries Over Nick

Kyle is in such a good mood when he stops into Crimson Lights for some coffee that Audra's digs and complaints don't even bother him, which Audra finds to be quite strange. "This is called happiness, Audra. I am so content with my life that annoying things just don't annoy me as much," he said.
At "The Danger Zone," Victoria was not in as good a mood as Kyle. She clearly slept there all night and woke to hear a knock at the door. She yelled to Kyle that he had a key, but when she opened the door, Victor was standing there. He is furious that his daughter is risking it all like this. But he was also just a figment of Victoria's imagination. She was dreaming.
Kyle woke Victoria out of her dream state, shocked to see that she was there all night. Victoria explained that this was a quiet and peaceful place for her after the drama with her family the night before. Victoria was clearly on edge and didn't even seem happy to see Kyle. He asked her to open up to him, so she finally admitted that she was worried about Nick.
Victoria gave Kyle the details about Nick and Marie. He said he could relate because he had watched his father battle addiction. He knew that it would always be there even when they didn't talk about it. Victoria said this addiction was so different from what her mother had experienced with alcohol.
She was truly worried about Nick and had never seen him like this before. It was like watching a whole other person. Kyle did his best to be supportive as Victoria cried and wept that it was all too much and she worried she'd never see her brother again. Kyle assured Victoria that Nick had a great support system and would come through this on the other side.
More Worries Over Nick

At the GCAC, Adam is not quite as distraught as Victoria, but he still can't get Nick off his mind. He tells Chelsea what had happened the night before and that he feared Nick would go after the dealer and end up behind bars. Nick thought this all went back to Noah's accident in Los Angeles. Chelsea was more worried about Adam than Nick and feared that Adam would try to save Nick.
When Adam got up to check on Nick, he ran into Sally. She couldn't help but ask if he'd be coming to the wedding as Chelsea's plus one, but that was the last thing on Adam's mind at that moment. When the baby started to move, Sally put Adam's hand on her belly. Chelsea watched the moment from a distance. She heard Adam tell Sally that he'd be at the wedding as long as Billy was okay with it.
After Adam left, Sally sat down with Chelsea to discuss wedding plans. Sally was so happy that everyone had made amends and was getting along. Audra suddenly appeared, looking all fresh after her run and coffee stop at Crimson Lights. She wanted to talk about the bachelorette party and reminded Chelsea that she was the one planning it.
Sally soon walked away to take a call from her wedding planner, leaving Chelsea and Audra alone at the table. Chelsea was taken aback when Audra told her to run any party ideas through her first before going to Sally. Chelsea couldn't keep her mouth shut any longer and accused her of being jealous.
Audra got blunt and told Chelsea that she was lucky that pregnancy hormones were causing Sally to forget all Chelsea had done to her. Chelsea was sorry for the hurt she caused, but Audra wasn't about to forgive and was happy to hold a grudge indefinitely.
When Sally returned to the table, the hormonal pregnant lady took the hands of both of her friends and thanked them for being there for her. She was so happy they had put their differences aside and were getting along.
What Really Happened to Nick

While his sister and brother worried about what would happen to him, Nick told his parents about the night before. Victor and Nikki were relieved when he showed up at the ranch and explained that he had not been using. Nikki and Victor were sure that he had fallen off the wagon.
When Adam showed up, he asked Nick if he had called the cops. Adam told his brother that Burrow had been looking for him, prompting Victor to ask what he was missing. Before Nick could say much more, Victor got a call that the cops were there, but he ordered security to say Nick was not there.
Nick told his family that he had arranged a meeting with Joe, the dealer, and had alerted Detective Burrow. He showed them that he had punched Joe, but Joe had run off. Nick figured the cops wanted to know what had happened and were suspicious of the story. It wasn't like Nick to have let Joe go.
Nick then called Burrow to meet him at Crimson Lights. After Nick was gone, Victor was sure there was more to the story and that Nick had done something horrible to Joe.
At Crimson Lights, Nick refused to admit he had done something horrible and only told Burrow the same story he had told his family. However, through flashbacks, the audience learned that the fight had taken a dangerous turn. Nick had gotten the upper hand and beat Joe, leaving the drug dealer unconscious in an alleyway.
Did Nick really kill the dealer? Is Audra being a bit much when it comes to Chelsea? Are Victoria and Kyle really falling for one another? Share your thoughts in the comments.
