Cane was immediately flirty with Lily when he met her for a meal at the GCAC. He had already ordered her favorite drink and was ready to just admire her. Cane was even fascinated by the way Lily ate her salad and told her how adorable it was that she ate her croutons last.

Then, serious talk began as they discussed Billy and Chancellor. Lily and Cane knew they couldn't trust Billy as far as they could throw him and wondered what he was really up to. They also figured they could make future plans for Chancellor, at least for now, while Billy wasn't bothering them.

Lily asked Cane if Jill had ever told him about this long-ago deal that Philip had made with Jack Abbott. She hadn't, but Cane also realized that Jill didn't 100% trust him at this point. Cane also figured the reason that Jill never told Billy was she never wanted Billy to get his hands on it.

Lily realized that Cane was likely right, but that didn't stop Cane from wondering if his own father played a hand in all of this. She even felt sorry for Billy because she knew how much this meant to him. She was just not about to let Billy have something she had worked so hard for.

The subject then turned to their own future. When Lily made a joke about the fun they had been having on Cane's various trains, Cane got serious and asked Lily what they were to each other. Lily admitted that it felt like old times and that they were in a good place. Cane then shocked Lily by asking her to move in with him.

"I'm looking at you across the table and I'm looking at the most beautiful woman in the entire world. She makes me laugh. She makes me think. She makes me better...and all I can think at this dinner is I don't want to it to end. I don't want to walk you to your car and say goodnight," he said.

Victoria Gets the Deets

Victoria and Kyle tried not to show how awkward and uncomfortable they felt when they ran into one another at Crimson Lights until they went onto the patio to talk. Victoria asked Kyle what was going on with his father, so he told her that the heart attack was all a ruse to lure Patty out of hiding. Kyle thought that his family had suffered enough and wondered what to do about someone as crazy as Patty.

Kyle told Victoria that he sent Harrison out of town to spend some time with Summer until they dealt with the Patty situation. He was headed to the hospital to see his parents when he ran into her and was happy to have someone to talk to.

Kyle and Victoria's chat turned to Matt. Neither one of them was very confident that people could change as much as Matt claimed he had. Victoria was encouraging to Kyle and urged him to remain confident that his family would get through this latest round of Patty chaos. When their hands touched for a moment, it became too emotional for Victoria, so she quickly moved her hand away.

When the topic turned to Nikki running Vibrante, Kyle had a confession to make. He couldn't stop thinking about Victoria and refused to pretend that something more wasn't happening between them. Victoria admitted that she had been feeling the same way.

Nikki Gets the News

After learning that her beloved friend Jack had a heart attack, Nikki barreled into the Jabot offices, demanding answers from Billy. He quickly tried to calm Nikki and explained that it was all an act to lure Patty out into the open.

While Nikki was pleased that Jack was actually fine, she didn't like the idea at all and worried that they were taking a huge risk. Billy wasn't worried. The cops were in on it, too, and would keep Jack safe.

The subject then turned to Chancellor and Billy's decision to give up on it. Nikki congratulated Billy on his engagement and remarked that at least Sally was keeping him from making any more stupid mistakes. Billy assumed there would be another Jabot-Vibrante war, but Nikki said that was the last thing she had wanted. She also planned to keep Victor out of things.

When Nikki returned home to the ranch, she and Victor discussed Jack's plan. Victor was sure it would fail. After all, Patty was much smarter than Jack any day of the week, at least in Victor's eyes.

Matt and Phyllis also tried to lure Patty into a trap when Matt called her burner phone and told her that he had called off his plan with Phyllis. Matt wasn't sure what to do with the rest of his life and needed Patty's help, so he asked her to come to the motel and talk.

After he hung up, he told Phyllis to go because he could handle Patty himself, but Phyllis felt she needed to protect him from that woman. Then, she wondered if Matt might be playing her. Matt admitted that having Phyllis there wouldn't help their situation because Patty did not totally trust him.

Matt and Phyllis argued back and forth about Patty, making it clear they didn't totally trust each other. Matt wanted to set the perfect trap so Patty would never be able to escape, which meant they needed to do things his way. Matt also worried that if Patty saw Phyllis, things could get ugly and turn violent. As they waited for Patty to arrive, they wondered what was taking so long and grew paranoid.

Meanwhile, Patty talked things over in the alley with her stuffed version of Mr. Kitty. She wasn't sure if she could trust Matt, but decided that Jack had to come first. He needed her, so she sent him a text...
