On the Tuesday, September 8, 2026, episode of The Young and the Restless, Jack made Billy and offer, Victoria made Nikki an offer, and Audra made Victoria an offer.
Coffee Talk

Billy was pleased to run into Nikki at Crimson Lights and commented on how well she looked after her blindness ordeal. Nikki took the opportunity to chastise Billy for his nonsense with Chancellor. How dare he make her beloved Katherine out to be a deadbeat who didn't pay her debts!
Billy assured Nikki that he was determined to keep Katherine's name clean. Nikki didn't trust Billy and said if she had to testify in court, she'd make sure to say that Katherine had never mentioned this mysterious loan, which was just coming to light now. No matter how many reassurances Billy gave her, Nikki was still determined to insult him.
Finally, Billy turned his attention from Nikki and called Sally. She was waiting for him at the Chancellor Park Cafe with their wedding planner.
The Return

Jack and Diane returned from their weird and disastrous trip to Tahiti, ready to get back to work. Jack limped into his Jabot office, still in pain from his centipede bite. Despite their various calamities, Diane still believed that the trip was perfect. Before long, Billy appeared, ready to talk shop.
Diane walked away to attend a meeting so that Jack and Billy could catch up. Billy updated Jack on the Chancellor situation and told him that Lily had wanted him to jump through hoops and prove himself before handing over the company. "It turns out it was all a ploy. It was all a plan of hers. And because of that, I was locked and loaded to head to court," Billy said.
However, he was dropping his Chancellor obsession for now after a scare with Sally and the baby. Jack was glad that Billy was walking away for now, but he hoped his brother would walk away for good and put the idea of running Chancellor behind him. Jack told Billy how much he believed in him and he was ready to prove it. Jack was willing to give Billy a ton of money to help him set up his very own company.
Unfortunately, that did not appease Billy in the least. This wasn't about Billy running a company. It was about him running Chancellor. He knew if he could just get this right, then he could prove he could do anything. Chancellor was the key to Billy's corporate salvation, at least in Billy's mind. "This is different. I know it. I feel it," Billy said.
Jack agreed that the Abbotts had a legal right to the company, but wondered if they had a moral right. Maybe they just needed some peace and tranquility and no more corporate wars. "You're about to become a new father and a new husband. Your focus should be on healing," Jack noted.
Jack begged Billy to make amends with his mother. "What happened between you and your mother is heartbreaking. To Jill. Listen," Jack said, but Billy still refused to budge. He even had some wild theory that John Abbott wanted his sons to run Chancellor together.
But Billy also had to stop thinking about business and tend to Sally. He got another text that the wedding planner was waiting.
Job Offers

At Society, Victoria sat down with Audra and asked Ms. Charles why she hadn't gotten back to her lawyers about the Vibrante patents. Audra said she had wanted to talk to Victoria herself. Audra was willing to give up her patents, but she wanted something in return that was more important to her than money.
Audra asked Victoria to make a deal. Vibrante would exclusively advertise on Spectra-Charles media platforms if Audra handed over the patents. Victoria wasn't sure about that, so Audra told her to contact her lawyer.
After Audra walked away, Nikki sat down with her daughter so they could discuss all things Vibrante. Nikki wasn't sure that Victoria was making the right move, but she was going to trust her. Victoria's business instincts were usually right. Nikki was surprised to hear that Jabot would be helping.
Nikki couldn't imagine how Victoria could handle Vibrante and her duties at Newman Enterprises. Victoria also couldn't imagine it, so she offered Nikki the job. Nikki didn't even have time to answer because Kyle suddenly appeared. Victoria told Kyle she had just asked her mother to run Vibrante.
Nikki admitted that she was intrigued, but needed to think about it. Nikki also noticed the way that Victoria and Kyle were looking at one another and the way Victoria was playing with her hair when Kyle was around. Nikki also informed Victoria that there would have to be a lot of changes if she was going to take this position. She especially didn't like the social media war.
As for Kyle, he found his parents at the office and informed them that he and Victoria were re-launching Vibrante with the old PR plan. They were skeptical, but Kyle remained confident.
Wedding Planning

After she left Society, Audra found Sally at the Chancellor Park Cafe and told her all about her little meeting with Victoria. She thought she might have scored one for their company. Sally was surprised that Audra was willing to hand over her patents, but was glad that her friend and partner was getting out of that world.
Finally, Billy arrived to discuss wedding plans. They both nixed the idea of atomic-themed and royal-themed weddings, not sure if they wanted to emulate Princess Diana and Prince Charles, but they liked the idea of a Gatsby theme. That could certainly be interesting. As the wedding planner predicted: "Fasten your seatbelts, Genoa City. It's going to be a fascinating night."
Is Billy foolish to turn down Jack's offer? Are Victoria and Kyle playing with fire? Sound off in the comments.
